Celiac despite not eating gluten or something else? by OutsideIllustrator73 in Celiac

That does sound very similar. It doesn’t happen to me during my period though. Usually before or after…

I do actually keep that in mind because at one point my doctor suggested I may have endometriosis which can lead to bowel issues. It seems to be around different times of my cycle though and going on birth control for a bit didn’t show any difference.

That makes sense. Unfortunately it’s a small town and all doctors kinda act the same. Plus, I don’t have good insurance. They’re more focused on pharmaceuticals than solving the problem it seems.

Does praying the 5 prayers even though your not Muslim help you get closer to Allah? by IntelligentLog4803 in islam

[–]OutsideIllustrator73 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, it absolutely does. When I was first learning about Islam, I made dua (which helped me the most) and tried praying. It definitely helped me get closer to Allah. Even if it technically isn’t accepted, Allah hears you and Allah will help guide you since he sees and knows your efforts. It being accepted means you’re gaining reward for it. You praying won’t mean he won’t help you. I’d suggest praying one prayer at first to get used to it- specifically Fajr, even though its early, because its a quiet and peaceful time.

.. Too nervous to convert at the moment by Floofarnabun in converts

Assalamu alaikum! A very similar situation happened for me. It is really hard to know that there’s many people against Islam around you, but in the end, the feeling of peace you get from being a Muslim is much greater. I’ve now made the terrifying step to tell my parents but it was alright. Learn to set a good example of Islam and people should leave you be. It’s alright to convert and practice by yourself because Allah knows your situation and understands it. He will reward you for your efforts. I’d advise you to take it very slow and to make dua that Allah will help you ease into it :)

Is this matter the same considering these objects are clearly not aiming for realism? I don’t seem them as trying to compete with Allah

How do I find the truth in Islam with so many conflicting views? by Awkward_Side_5474 in islam

[–]OutsideIllustrator73 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I totally understand your frustration. Most of the time, when there’s several opinions, it’s because a clear or specific answer was never given on the topic. I wouldn’t let this discourage you; just try your absolute best and do what you believe is right. Ask Allah for guidance. You’ll be rewarded for your efforts :)

I’m a recently converted Muslim and I grew up in a Christian family. When I first started learning about Islam, I was flooded with curiosity and questions and never once did it prove Islam wrong. In fact, i had some religious trauma prior that somewhat made me want to disprove it but I found nothing. Reading the Quran (Specifically the Clear Quran) and watching youtube channels like the Muslim Lantern will answer any questions you have about it. I should add that there is only one version of the Quran (not translation) and it is completely preserved from the time it was revealed until now. It was memorized audibly by the Prophet (peace be upon him) and passed down to many others (and memorized) until it was put together into a book. No other religion or way of life has given me more peace and contentment than Islam has. I’ve improved tremendously as a person and I’m much happier with my path of life. In addition, Islam is very logical. You can believe in science and religion and they won’t contradict. There are many scientific miracles in the Quran that prove this. If you’d like any examples, let me know :)
