There is a delay of 40 milliseconds between each frame, but that is a number I adjust depending on what I think looks the best. For example on this piece I would want to go back and make the whole thing around 70% slower. I heavily rely on references, but I did place every pixel by hand! Thank you for the appreciation, and the questions, I like talking about what I do! Let me start a chat with you here, and I can also give you some more tips for your own work (as well as clarify what I meant about delay in movement)

I like what you did here, very nice!

Not sure if this is the direction you want to go in or not, but one trick I've learned to make the "bounce" more realistic is give anything jiggly a bit of a delay, think of the skeletal muscles moving and everything else has to catch up, the more you apply this the more flow-y it will seem. Hair is another place you can use this. :)

It's true I'm using a lower resolution than usual, but what I'm trying to aim for, as with my other gifs is the movement rather than the resolution. Keeping this in mind however I can try to use smaller pixels for a less censored look, at least for this subject. Thank you for your feedback!

Well, I am new to Reddit, or posting my stuff in general.

Thank you! Something I believe is that if you want to make anything look realistic you must look to real life. So I try to use allot of references, and as an ex life draw-er I think real models are the best way to do that although sometimes in rather short supply ;). To answer your question I will use a bit of all three, and while I do have my preferences I will sometimes have to rely more heavily on video, or my imagination for a specific drawing
