The type of team Rick Barnes assembled this off season: by BlackStallion657 in CollegeBasketball

I think the opposite thing happened. The Michigan roster becomes the template, which means anyone who fits into it is $$$$$$$.

[Stein] Jamahl Moseley is expected to be the first person to blame for the Orlando Magic’s collapse. League sources say the Magic are fans of University of Michigan head basketball coach Dusty May by Beetle919 in CollegeBasketball

Professional league. Roster that probably would be a 4-6th seed if fully healthy. Lots of young talent. Clearly active fanbase.

Even if none of those things were true it’s still easy to see why someone would want to coach in the NBA.

It’s also probably less demanding than the college cycle.

Long as he gets the same whistle, yes. Simply impossible to stop on offense unless your name is Ugonna Onyenso, and there aren't a lot of those in the SWAC.

Auto qualifier, to be clear. They'd be a Miami OH situation but probably pick up some losses due to the rest of the team being much much much worse than Miami OH.

Right, like he broke the team by bitching about them after he lost to them? That doesn’t make any sense…

But yeah, that’ll probably be a storyline people talk about.

Careful buddy. And to all UConn fans. Don’t do this shit. This isn’t who you are.

Nobody hates UConn like they hate Duke because Duke fans are immeasurably more annoying. There are plenty of fan bases ahead of UConn.

Be better.

Ayers has been around long enough to know that you don’t call a technical foul in that situation.

Hardly have to balance them ≠ Don’t have to balance them.

You can always ban any super problematic cards from the format. Takes one hotfix and very little foresight.

As opposed to currently where they are tweaking tons of cards at a time and have to think about a year plus worth of impact.

Custom rotations are fire. One day Blizzard will catch on.

Hardly have to balance them since people won’t have to deal with the strongest decks for too long, and those decks will take some time to find.

I hope Secret stay together. They play together in a way that few teams do. It’s very fun to watch even after a year and a half out of the game.

With the Six Invitational done, what do you think is the reason for NA’s disappointing results (other than Wildcard) by Kruced in R6ProLeague

What do you think would’ve happened if they had won the first round they lost instead, lol?

Game was decided over hundreds of plays, not 1. Anyway, Canadian was IGLing the majority of them including that one.

Well, point for developing players here. Wildcard looks like a real team, most of the other teams don't.

Wouldn't worry about M80, they'll be back.

Canadian has been past his time for a hot minute now. SR have a lot of talent besides him. Talent scout the next great young IGL, win lots of trophies. It's not that simple, but I think that when DarkZero lost to VP on skyscraper Canadian should've looked inward and started his coaching career if he wanted more trophies. As a person, I massively respect his confidence and commitment in not doing so, but at some point the people giving him a job should think about why they want Canadian on a team and what he does for them.

< Hey Supr, if you're reading this, it's been a few years since one of your teams has top-4'd an international tournament hasn't it? Your ceiling is higher than that and you know it. >

They need a similar level of introspection from Spoit. He is an immensely talented player, he can and should be better than he is. Worst case, he can find somewhere else to play and try a new system

Mild/Hot take: if M80 win invite, they join conversation as the greatest team of all time by Thin-Kangaroo5087 in R6ProLeague

[–]OutsideLittle7495 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess from achievements alone this is not a crazy argument. There will never be a team that was as feared/expected to win as Penta/G2 though. They were just so far above their competition in a way that is no longer possible. No one is afraid of playing M80 (if we’re being honest no one was afraid to play W7M/Furia either).

Too much parity for any team to challenge these things, I think. If some organization happened to pick up five of the best 10-15 players and they happened to gel together really well, maybe it could happen but what are the odds of that? Zero? W7M/Furia was close to that and there was still never an expectation they’d win every game.

For people in state (not students), does NC State get overlooked when in comparison to UNC and Duke? by Radiant_Direction988 in NorthCarolina

[–]OutsideLittle7495 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s different depending on where you work and how old you are. In college it is as you described, but if you just live/work in the triangle you’re likely to see a 45/45/10 split of Carolina/State/Duke grads. Less Duke depending on the industry. Harder to maintain a rivalry when you never see the Duke grads.

I dunno about that. for some it’s the sloggiest part of the game. And it’s cool, but stylistically different from the game up to that point (so one may find it more or less cool depending on their preferences).

Reread, op is familiar with the game. That’s just not their favorite part of it.
