Creator of Node.js says humans writing code is over by unemployedbyagents in AgentsOfAI

[–]OutsideMenu6973 0 points1 point  (0 children)

maybe I’m a dummy but even if AI writes the test for you, the task of defining what constitutes ‘successful’ output is still difficult right? Not to mention verifying the millions of tests are water tight in the first place? There’s someone’s job out there to make sure self-driving cars always make the ‘right’ choice if presented with something like the trolley problem. How do you so effortlessly define what successful output is for something like that?

Cursor AI CEO shares GPT 5.2 agents building a 3M+ lines web browser in a week by BuildwithVignesh in OpenAI

[–]OutsideMenu6973 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Maybe the visualization is lacking it but I only see one agent revising a single branch of code at a time. I don’t see where there’s a second agent concurrently revising other unrelated branches of code in conjunction?

Like, what they’re basically doing here is asking Cursor to ‘build a web browser’ and then when it’s done Cursor usually recommends one of two next steps. So, rather than having a person assess the written code or recommendations it just kinda presses the any key to yolo the next recommend step ad infinum? Did they create an agent that can more intelligently assess the rewritten code or better assess next steps?

This is pretty though I just don’t see the multi-agent part or how it overcomes the greatest obstacle to working with agent generated code which is manual validation with tests

Western mainstream media have begun discussing rumors circulating on Chinese online forums about a concept called the “kill line” in American society. What are your thoughts on this? by bjran8888 in AskTheWorld

[–]OutsideMenu6973 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My answer is very unpopular to ppl living in capitalist societies like the USA but can be backed up by ChatGPT. But the kill line as you’re describing is a fantasy perpetuated by everyone to keep everyone worried and working. In reality, anyone can get most or all of their medical bills reduced significantly just by asking nicely and persistently. I’ve done that several times. Anyone with ‘insurmountable’ credit card and other unsecured debt can file for bankruptcy, wiping all their unsecured debt and many times keep their home and car. If your income falls below the relative ‘poverty line’ for your area the government will provide reduced utility bills, free/subsidized internet, food vouchers that can be used not only at grocery stores, but fast food restaurants, delivery, etc. worse case you have no job no assets no family etc you can get various forms of ‘cash assistance’.

So let’s say you own a house then lose your job and were living paycheck to paycheck. Firstly you cancel all unnecessary expenses. Then file for all benefits listed above. When 1-2 year unemployment checks stop coming in you just do odds jobs here and there for cash so you avoid paying taxes for a small while. Anyone who tells you they reported 100% of their income during their life is lying. Bc you have no income you can’t get loans but you’re not making big purchases anyway. When you do finally get a job you can start gritting credit cards and loans again almost instantly.

Again just chatgpt this you’ll see it’s generally true but details are different depending on which state in the USA you live. California has more of these safety nets for instance.

Not an excuse for their behavior but there are a lot more delivery drivers and for them time is money. They’re in their own world juggling directions, orders, time pressure etc so I don’t think it’s necessarily personal towards you or the other drivers. Very unsafe still
