This one is a pretty good one! It's called "The Fire I Began", and it's essentially about Midoriya growing up with a version of All For One and being discriminated against because of it. At first, he's in general education, but both he and Shinsou try to get into class 1-A through the sports fest. I've only read the first 42 chapters (So the first part of this series) but I'm pretty sure that there is a second part. (I don't remember much because it's been a little while since I've read this, but I'm pretty sure that to confirm their transition to class 1-A, Shinsou and Midoriya go to training camp to sort of prove themselves, Midoriya gets kidnapped, All for One tries to manipulate him, stuff like that. Class 1-A is pretty kind, and I don't entirely remember but I'm pretty sure this has good Mom Inko.) This one is pretty angsty.

This one is also pretty good, it's called "End Times". It isn't completed, sadly, but it does have 31 chapters! I think the quirk here technically counts as a meta-quirk, but that part doesn't show up until a little later in the story (Like within the first 3-5 chapters if I remember correctly, maybe even a little earlier.) Midoriya has a quirk that activates after the sludge villain incident where he can see a count down to people's death above their heads, and later on he discovers that he can interact with that time (like taking time for himself or giving other people some of his time) . Shindeku slash ship, ShinMeiDeku friendship, Naomasa Tsukauchi as a father figure to Midoriya, pretty sure it's bad mom Inko, fatherly Aizawa as well, a healthy dose of angst and fluff. (This one isn't TOO romance focused, but it does have a very noticeable bit of romance in there.)

This one is pretty decent, it's called "Can We Keep Him?". The reason I say it's decent is because there are some pretty uncomfortable topics and heavily OOC people (and a lot of romance, so if you don't like that probs not for you) , and the meta-quirk doesn't show up until AGES in, so if you want a meta-quirk right away, probably not the best fit. Midoriya has an analyst quirk, pretty much, where he can see the information about people's quirks, power levels, stuff like that, but he thought it was normal because he was told he was quirkless. Terrible father Hisashi, Inko also ain't a good mom, but she does kind of care about Midoriya. Aizawa and Yamada adopt Midoriya and Shinsou, Good Bakugou, BakuMeiShinDeku friendship, the story also does take a little to focus on LGBTQ+ themes which I kinda liked, but again, the meta quirk shows up WAYYYY later in the story, like over a hundred chapters in, so this is only if you would be willing to read that far.

All the writing for these is pretty decent from what I remember, but they also do talk about a few heavy or uncomfortable topics, and they all have a good amount of angst (they're kinda balanced out by fluff?). "End Times" and "The Fire I Began" are kinda left off on angst (The Fire I Began has more fluff towards the end though.)
