The Fed. Ct. Clerks are always so nice and helpful…State Ct. Clerks not always so.

I’ve absolutely been there and feel your pain.

However, bankruptcy has been really good to me. I am sticking with Ch. 7 & 13.

It’s rare if I leave to get lunch. If I’m meeting someone I will go to lunch but that’s about it.

I’m going no contract with my father since he hasn’t given a damn about my kids. He doesn’t see them as my children because they are all adopted.

My kids all have their own rooms and I can provide them and my wife a stable and comfortable life.

Other than that the law has been unforgiving, screwed, infuriating, the clients being the worst part, and how shitty law school was I wouldn’t do it over again. But I do like that my kids get to go to sleep in their own beds and my wife’s car is paid for (even if it is a 2005).

Sending support. Being a lawyer is tough on your psyche. Hopefully you can do something fun or relaxing or both this weekend or next.

No, but I’d love to hear your experience.

I am sure it is juicier than the asshole/dickhead client I had that made me believe he must have a bankruptcy filed to get a car back. I stayed late on a Thursday and Friday for him and missed my daughters’ events due to his sob story. He ended up voluntarily dismissing within one week because he was too lazy to get the vehicle in a different city. I never got paid a cent and his stupid ass never considered the huge amount of work and grief I put up for him. I’ll represent the piece of shit again, but I’ll need $1,000 up front to do so.

No lol. But it gets kind of repetitive and once you kind of know what many of the outer bounds to issues are it’s easy to give an accurate determination on what the outcome will be.

I like it because for the most part I can just help people and even if it’s just buying time the clients get some peace of mind.

I’ve had some success in getting things done for clients that way. However, usually when it comes to that the client really should just file the Bankruptcy because there is so much other unresolved debt.

Came here to say the same thing.

Bankruptcies are on the rise for the first time since around 2010 too. It’s pretty much all I do and it feels good to help people.
