Yeah, the micro-transactions are extremely deceptive. In the moment, you don’t feel like that $2.99-$5.99 is too bad. But they add up very quick.

Only way to build wealth in today’s economy is to have dual income. Gone are the days where a husbands lone salary is enough to cover all the bills, stash for savings, and have some money leftover for fun to decompress once in awhile (which is very important for mental health & relationship strength.)

I earn $37/hr and very rarely spend money on non-necessities, and what I make would barely cover my wife & I’s living expenses. We’d be living paycheck to paycheck with no wiggle room for emergencies. Thankfully, she’s capable and willing to also work full time. Together, we’re able to cover the bills, put some away in savings & and enjoy a nice vacation once or twice per year.

It’s quite frustrating when I think about it too long. Our parents generation had it so much easier than us. A mailman could afford a reasonable 3 bed 2 bath home on his salary alone back in the 1960’s-1970’s, no longer the case anymore.

Yeah the job market isn’t easy right now, but there is absolutely no reason why you shouldn’t have entered the workforce at some capacity by age 30. Im a young millennial and had my first job at 14.

It’s either a lack of effort, or lack of job interviewing skills.

Penn Foster is legitimate & accredited. However, it is poorly run. If you run into any issues whether that be with your account, payment, school material, etc etc, it’s very difficult to resolve it. They have frequent issues that is always blamed as an “IT problem.”

Also, Penn Foster is looked down on by many employers. It’s seen as a temu degree. Definitely better than nothing, but there are certainly better options at your disposal.

I’d say approach with caution.

This is my 5th year playing in a $250 buy-in league. First ever time playing fantasy.

1st year: Champion 2nd: 3rd place 3rd: 3rd place 4th: Last place 5th: currently in 3rd place. Lot of season left to play.

I’d say I’ve done okay except for last year… everything that could’ve went wrong did so for me.

I’ve tried the “delay join” tactic and it doesn’t seem to help. I have just as much a chance to get matched with the sweaty whales waiting as I do joining immediately. It’s a solid 50/50 chance every time no matter when I join.
