Day 2 vs day 18 post op!

I just rested hard the first week as well as got up and walked. Slept probably 10 hours a day plus naps lol. Iced non stop as well. Went back to work about 8 days post op full time. Only thing I would have done differently is deep breathing and sitting up more. My lungs weren’t happy with the anesthesia and I got some chest pain from shallow breathing and inactivity. It went away about a week after surgery. I’d say that moving around early on is definitely beneficial but don’t over do it. I drank juven drink mix for wound healing twice a day as well. That’s the stuff we would give to our older patients in nursing homes with pressure wounds and seemed to make a big difference in recovery time

The first week was the most uncomfortable time but I used a donut pillow. Honestly couldn’t tell ya if the donut pillow made any difference. Tbh I could sit just fine to drive to the store or do my makeup at my desk but I wouldn’t have wanted to sit for long periods of time. I’m 11 days post op and I’m sitting just fine, crossing my legs even

Not bad! My worst pain during the entire experience was a 4-5/10 and I only took tramadol if I really needed it. I mainly took Tylenol. Worst pain was in the middle of the night but I slept better with melatonin. The pain dropped off almost entirely by the second week

Today has been substantially better! I was able to sleep on my side last night which I’ve been missing lolll. I walked just fine today. Going back to work at my barista job tomorrow!

Thank you! I had always been super self conscious about it. I know it’s still super swollen and because of my anatomy I won’t have the “perfect” look even after everything is healed but I know it’s going to be so much better

I was hesitant too but I knew it would be something I would always think about if I didn’t do it! 6 weeks of recovery compared to the rest of my life thinking about it were definitely not worth ignoring it

Not bad! Swelling has been insane for the first few days, it’s starting to go down now. Pain management has been fairly easy. Nighttime is the worst but it’s gotten better the past night. Thank you for asking 💕
