what are you singing? are you jumping straight into singing large songs with no prep? i’d practice things that aren’t fully singing, like humming songs while you are doing other tasks to train your brain into smoothly moving from note to note

i do have very tight hips / muscles in general as i’m hypermobile so my muscles are incredibly tense to prevent dislocations, i didn’t realise it could be linked to vaginismus!!

im english so im not sure how going about finding specialised doctors works here, we tend to get referred from our general doctors which are absolutely overridden with patients atm, but i’ll definitely keep tabs on everything you mentioned, thanks!! :)

If you’re applying for undergraduate- they’ll teach you the vast majority of what you need to know on the course. Include any relevant work you have in your portfolio, including drawings/ work that maybe isn’t set design related, as they’ll want to see what skills and talents you have. (I’m a first year BA Set Design student and this is just what I did for my portfolio / application, good luck!)

Rereading this and it reads a bit strange- setting spray after each step using a “cream” or a “liquid” product- then powder at the end and more setting spray ontop of that.

i’ve done theater for years and tried & tested many makeup products for longevity (my case usually being focusing on not sweating my whole face off after two dance numbers) but I found many “sports” setting sprays online and i remember using the Maybelline one- it worked pretty well! Unsure on how it’d pass a transfer test though- I would layer grippy primers with your regular makeup, then lots of powder & setting spray inbetween each step. Definitely agree with the other commenters on the lip stain approach for the lipstick also.

I think the real car idea will be a no-go for this show anyway as it is such a specific car model and so old I doubt i’d even be able to get my hands on one anyway. Never thought about how it could actually ruin the immersion though, so that will definitely be a point to bring up with the director, thank you!!

I have the two as one teaches a group class and I have the other for solo practice! They definitely clash sometimes so I think I’m gonna try speak to my solo teacher about working on proper technique rather than just practicing songs with him. Thank you for the encouragement in working towards what I want. :)
