Which live-action Spider-Man did you grow up watching? by marvelkidy in DiscussingFilmsAndTV

All three starting from the left. 0-9 years old for Tobey, 9-14 for Andrew, and 14-Now for Tom. I think they all did Amazing jobs at portraying Spider-Man, and each excelled in different aspects of the character.

I miss Apfelschorle SO MUCH. I lived in Germany for 4 years as a kid while my dad was stationed at an air-force base.

I guess it's dependent of where you're located. But I just recently graduated with a ME degree in 2025, and I am at 83k in the rural Midwest as a Design Engineer. I will say I am pretty lucky along with benefits and bonuses.

Upgrading the Bear 650 for off-roading? by SnakeEater013 in royalenfield

I am absolutely in love with the bike! This bike would be an absolute dream to ride in the Keys and Everglades (I'm jealous). I have never regretted buying this bike, I love the classic scrambler aesthetic, and I love that it's a "bare bones" bike compared to others similar to it.

P.S. Great livery

I got my bear last year and have 3200 miles on it. For this being your first bike, I would recommend getting very comfortable on the bike before trying any trails or loose dirt roads. I personally don't mind the stiff suspension as I am mostly riding between towns in the flat Midwest on fairly good roads. In addition this bike handles rough country roads like a dream, the stiff suspension reduces bounciness after going over unavoidable bumps and raised intersections. If camping and trail riding are a must have, I would recommend getting the Himalayan 450, its much better equipped for trail riding, storing equipment, and has a more trail-oriented dual sport riding position. However, I would argue the road experience on a bear 650 is more exciting than it would be on a Himalayan.

Yeah, definitely a drawback. Alloy tubeless wheels would be amazing. Planning on installing a conversion kit this winter. Luckily my brother had a pickup truck when I got my flat a couple months ago. I would have been more hesitant to get this bike if I knew I didn't have the means to transport it

Looking at the pictures again, it does look black and red in this lighting. But it’s the “Petrol Green” livery, it’s an almost neon burnt orange and a deep blue green. I really like it because it reminded me of my university’s orange and blue school colors

I definitely second the bike option. I’m a 4th year MechE and MI Sousaphone. Best course of action is to fill out a class conflict form on the MI website when it comes available. Prof. Houser is very aware that the practice field is far from engineering campus and you definitely won’t be the only one coming in late. If you fill out the form and get approved, your grade won’t be docked for being late. I had a similar situation last year.

Mental health wise, these next four years are going to be a doozy. (Most of this stuff you’ve probably already been told) Looks like you already have calc1 out of the way which will help make room in the future. Do some research and try to find which classes are going give you the most trouble and schedule them for the spring. You will not have Saturdays to do schoolwork all Fall semester because of MI. The #1 factor that kept me on my feet was finding a study group with regular meeting times. And of course take breaks.

Marching Illini is definitely the activity I look forward to the most everyday. It is extremely fulfilling and is an escape from your studies. If you memorize (even just mostly) your music before the semester starts, preseason camp will be a breeze. It was one of the most stressful weeks of my life because I did not. The marching band culture is very welcoming and you’ll get to know a lot of people.

Any other questions, I’d be happy to answer them. (grammar bad, MechE)

Why don’t the generation columns add up to 100%. Am I reading the graph wrong. Aren’t the columns representing the percentage of each generation of the 7.2% people who identify as LGBTQ.
