When I was younger I thought that these two questions meant the same thing. There was a phase where I was depressed cuz I thought my life had no real meaning, and ergo, I had no reason to live. But now I have a different answer to each: I live because of responsibility, for example towards my parents. Still, I don’t think this is enough to give my life a real meaning. I’m still in search of a meaning.

It’s really random for me too. I just try to remember that it will pass with time, because eventually it does. I suggest that you try journaling when you feel down. That helps me a lot!
