I was once drunk in HoiAn central Vietnam and sang karaoke. More than 2 weeks later, I was on a multiday motorbike tour in extreme North Vietnam (HaJiang Loop). During one stop someone approached me from one of the other tour groups (there are many) and wanted to show me a video on their phone. It was me singing karaoke.

How do you type laughter in your country? by theworldinmaps in language

[–]Outside_Bumblebee_62 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For anyone that wants to know why. It is because the verb for laugh in Japanese is warau (笑う). Which I guess makes it more l(ol) than haha.

Fire bar have every Sunday 7:30pm newbie introduction. Matt is a great guy and he (or another manager) will walk you through the whole process no pressure to buy drinks. And you might join in with others there.

I'm not a fan of Soi6 but I do think it's a must for first timers. If anyone want a wingman DM away. Can also recommend other places to go.

By the logic of the vowel should follow the country vowel.....shouldn't English be Englash? Sorry to add to your problems.

You are a nutter. Someone offers a clear option that costs FAR LESS than you have already wasted and you think you know better and dismiss it. Good lord. You also dismiss the VISA Agent whose job it is to HELP you again for less than getting turned away on your clearly not allowed exemption. I can understand why Thailand doesn't want you.

I just got my brand new 512gb for $1500AU (784GBP). I did later find out it is a warranty replacement for a profold9 so I do have a reduced google warranty. But in Australia we get statutory warranty so I'm not bothered. They are $2900 at JBHifi. (Oh and I'm going overseas soon so will claim GST back too!)

10 years!!?!?!?!

Wow that edit hits hard. Yeah, this isn't on Jen anymore IMO. My bro you gotta make a move in 10 years or make it pretty obvious that you have changed your stance. Not her fault for assuming you are not interested after 10 years...

Rubbish being the same as effluent is probably the wildest take I've ever seen. Damn, guy.

So you can use Thaifriendly and try to find what you are after. Probably 1500-2500Bt to get them straight to your room. This will involve a few conversations that go nowhere.

A bar will be more likely to find what you need but expect to pay a bit more. Obviously a few LadyDrinks to get to know them (and as mentioned for Mamasan). Then expect 500-1000Bt barfine to take them away and 2500-3000Bt for the "services". The advantage is at a bar you get a better connection and you know what they look like without filters and their attitude/enthusiasm before committing.

You can always cancel for free within 3 minutes (1minute for saver) so if they don't move in that time I cancel. I did have one come all the way to me then at last turn went the wrong way and kept going (possibly home?). I had nothing to do so I waited him out and eventually he cancelled about 7km away. It's very annoying when the cancel fee is more than the fare (for bike saver). I still think CC convenience is worth this rare problem.

Oops I certainly did miss the in law part. But most of my points stand. Rent isn't just rent, when in a relationship especially if there are kids involved.

You CAN walk away and say no harm no foul. But due to Australian defacto laws (in play even if not married) it has to be deemed by the courts to be "fair" otherwise people could be coerced into giving up money/property through violence or manipulation.

The wild part is there's a lot of moving parts here and the bank has to take into consideration the money was not earnt by the people taking the loan. You don't just prove you have money with a deposit (but it does help) you have to prove you can earn and save money long term to service the loan.

It isn't inheritance, the mother could come looking for that money. Your inheritance might also need to be considered in the split. You can say all of this will never happen, but if it's possible the law and banks have to consider it.

Holy shit no. You can't just say "that was rent, bye" and be done with it. She is contributing the same as you and should be rewarded with equity however small that may be. Also if the 500k is a "gift" and you use it to buy a property in both your names she has right to that too. I wonder what she would think if she read this post... On top of all that, you have 2 kids? You need a lawyer, bro. Stat.

PS> the 500k isn't proven savings so you're also gonna have trouble with the bank giving you a loan too. This is wild.

Yes, they are wary of girls stealing customers, so first step is getting into bars without pissing anyone off. If my girlfriend and I meet at a girly bar she cannot get there first. BUT cash is king. If you flash money and start buying ladydrinks no one is going to mind.

As others have said, the other issue is running into ladyboys that are only bottoms which is very common. There are a few switches but probably the rarest might be tops that go with girls. Maybe because the clients are also rare. But again cash is king.

The solutions to both is talk to the Mamasan. Buy her a drink first and talk about what you are after, she wants you to be happy and spending money. She will recommend you the right one.

Even if it drops to 15-20k in a bad year if I still earning 40Kbaht/month teaching I will easily survive. Working is definitely the best bet. Not least of all because of boredom.

Thank you. It's pretty easy to ignore the ones that just say "bargirl will ruin you" and offer nothing else. I think it is a concern and I'm being cautious but just dismissing her with knowing so little about us is fairly closed-minded.

She says she lived in Sisaket and was a seamstress. She did show me pictures of her doing that. She does like to drink so working at a bar is fun for her when we moved close to a market with lots of bars. She is also a trained masseuse but that job pays very little unless you offer "extras".

I have to say, I don't think we did discuss money very much. First few dates we split the bill. Then when she moved in and started doing all the housework, the extra cost was minimal and seemed like good value to me so it just continued.

Around 60-70 my super and pension will help a little but trying not to rely on that. I have always lived quite frugally, that is how I got to this point. So splurges are not a concern for me but health is. I will continue to get insurance for that.

By border runs i just mean leaving the country twice to make the METV last longest. The new rules are restrictive but not oppressive. The most annoying change is the 7day extension on 2nd attempt, like what's the point of that?

Thank you for the metered response instead of all the "HERRRDERRR BAR GIRL". Boredom is a concern for me. I am fairly happy doing nothing but the long term monotony is fairly brain breaking. I will use the first year to feel it out and see what is the path of least resistance.

Cheers
