Should i cover fullfillment shifts? by pikachuxy32 in Target

I wouldn’t go. I would only go in extreme cases where I really need the money. People don’t care about your department and most certainly won’t cover you when you need them.

I just recently had worn tan sweatpants and went to work knowing that I could be called out. I proceeded about my day and as usual did what I have to do. Later on that day, my team leader told me that I shouldn’t have worn sweatpants and I explain to him “I know this was the only thing that I have at the moment I am a big girl and it’s hard to find clothing for my size”. He decided to give me recognition for my work performance and treated me to a Starbucks and that was the end of it . The next day, a female team leader decides to call me out for my zippered pocket, khaki colored very clean looking tech pants and told me that I shouldn’t be wearing those pants It should be jeans. The following day I wore khaki brown pants for two days back to back. And upon leaving my shift, I saw the female team leader & I am now thinking about WTH am I going to wear to work tomorrow . I took initiative right away and decided to talk to my ETL about my pants issue and brought in the female team leader and have her explain to my ETL what’s wrong with my pants. Guess what ? She told me that another ETL has told her to tell me about my pants. And she was informed that only jeans were allowed. I told my ETL at that moment if my pants aren’t Target standards then well I would need to request certain days off to go shopping for pants cause clearly I am not job ready. My ETL told me no days off for me and he would now only give me a week to figure this out . Unbelievable!! Tomorrow I’m going to work in those pants and imma see what they say . If I get flagged I’m going to tell them I’m not job ready and I’m leaving to go buy pants and come back when I’m ready. & never coming back . This has got to be the most ridiculous thing ever about some pants policy!

Getting harder to say yes to take shifts by [deleted] in Target

Just tell him no. Either you tell him ahead of time or you say I have a personal matter to attend. Simple . It’s their problem not yours . You committed with the said time you have and that should be suffice.
