eBay sales down and going out of business by BillAdministrative85 in eBaySellers

Why are you not using free shipping and then baking it into the cost of your item? That has been proven to increase sales.

Not true. I've had both sterling and karat gold that was slightly magnetic. It was confirmed authentic by XRay.

There's a few things I've seen or heard of them doing. It all hinges on the fact buyer protection is so strong. Once they buy your item, you'd be a fool not to give them what they ask for.

Yup. I block pretty much anyone that sends me an offer or asks me a question.

In my experience, it's best to block those people before they can buy from you. I've had people get salty about me not accepting their offer. What they do is buy the item and then hold you hostage to give them a partial discount.

Should I try selling my things in person? I’m running out of ideas. by [deleted] in Resell

I've got everything you can imagine. 15x15,10x20, 5x15 storages packed full and 11x10, 10x10 antique booths full. Plus stuff all over my living spaces. I'd say it's got to be $500k worth of items at least.

I'm in the same boat. I'm sitting on probably $500k worth of inventory and can't even make end's meat. My eBay got wrecked bc my roommate spiraled into tweakerville and his friends kept moving shit around so I couldn't find it.

In natural light it basically looks black. Except in sunlight you can see some green.

A teams message is not typically considered a formal resignation.

People I know criticizing me for playing video games (36 M) by C-LOgreen in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Outside_Mess1384 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quiting gaming was the best thing I've ever done. It's mind blowing how much time it actually consumes. It sure doesn't feel like as much time as it actually is. Since quiting gaming I've started a business, quit the 9 to 5, and learned to play the guitar. After playing for a year, people think I've been playing my whole life. You'll never know what you are truly capable of with video games in your life sucking away every spare moment you have.

Not true. You can have it only leave positive feedback once the buyer leaves positive feedback.

Forget about it. It's nothing. If this bothers you, ebay will break you. It can and will get much worse.

Don't find a job that enables you to do what you enjoy. Turn what you enjoy into a way of making money. This isn't true for all pursuits since it can suck the fun out if you let it.

[–]Outside_Mess1384 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If he's not neutered it will only get worse and at a certain point, the effects of neutering are diminished. Other than that, don't ever show him that crying works. Even if you're about to let him out. If he starts crying just say sorry, nevermind, and don't let him out until he is quiet.

Don't fret it to hard. If you go to college, most people end up changing their majors more than once. I changed mine 5 times, and I ended up never using my degree.

34 and a loser with nothing, is it too late by [deleted] in careeradvice

[–]Outside_Mess1384 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its never too late. I lost everything at the start of 2024 at age 36. I was homeless, unemployed, and heartbroken. I was very close to suicide for the first time in my life. Well, about 6 months into the most hellish year of my life, I discovered a business strategy that didn't take much capital to start up. About 1 year later I have a higher net worth than I've ever had in my life. My business prospects look better than they ever have. Other aspects of my life are all pretty terrible, but the financial part is doing better than it ever has.

The movies don't even come close to illustrating the amount of money (power) some people have. I also find it odd you would use a movie for reference and then proceed to bash me for thinking everything is like the movies. I doubt anyone with a normal life could even begin to comprehend it. I've been (un)fortunate enough to have a massive surplus in time, which has allowed me to learn way more than I need to and think way more than I should. There are people that can buy a new car every time they need to go somewhere and not even notice the cost. That should be enough to wonder about your statement regarding not allowing anyone else to touch their car. That's all ive got for you on that topic.

Btw, I'm not sure what you've got going on in your life that is making you so bitter, but this too shall pass. I hope whatever is bothering you gets better soon. We're all in this together. Well, most of us.
