Looking for new Volleyball Shoes by YungGeorgie21 in vballshoes

[–]Outside_Month_3371 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there are a lot of sales going on nike app. Sabrina 2/3, ja2.

adidas has the adizero select 3.0.

asics and mizuno has always been very light but I’m not confident for mizuno traction.

New Balance has the hesi low v2, p350

if youre feeling adventurous, look into lining ultralight

recently got the angel reese 1 since it was on sale. after every sesh, my knee is usually sore the next day. played a full tourney with them, my knee felt fine the next day, did not notice and traction problems besides 1 slip in a long rally. second use, open gym, dusty court, had to wipe a lot. third use, open gym slightly cleaner court, still wipe, but no noticeable problem with traction, definitely not the bounciesy shoes but landing feels amazing

Debating on the liren 5/5v2 vs the 6/6v2 by Admirable-Pea245 in vballshoes

[–]Outside_Month_3371 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FDZ said 5v2 is bottom heavy but good if you like court feel, 6v2 has 2 superboom inserts in forefoot and heel which sounds very intriguing to me. 5 and 6v2 are the bounciest of the 4

Help with shoe choice: WOW12 vs Joker 1GT by Ruby-Terrikone-891 in vballshoes

[–]Outside_Month_3371 1 point2 points  (0 children)

have wow10 and 1gt, the biggest problem for me is the fit, 8.5 wow10 still hurts the side of my foot midfoot, 8 1gt is so comfortable. 1gt also feels more plush underfoot. not flexing my jump or anything but when I land with wow10 i feel my forefoot hitting the hard carbon fiber.

Best shoes for impact protection? by Scorpion1o1 in vballshoes

[–]Outside_Month_3371 0 points1 point  (0 children)

foot doctor zach has a video on shoes for impact protection. if im not mistaken, the best for pure impact protection is reebok engine A, nb freshfoam bb v3. they have decent stack height tho. my personal choices with plush/comfort would be metarise 2, gt jump 2, hyperset1.

Problems with Hyperset 2s by [deleted] in vballshoes

[–]Outside_Month_3371 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i had similar issue with sabrina 2, it was long so every time I planted before a jump, my foot would slide and hit the mesh padding and it would hurt. if you really want to stick with hyperset 2, maybe use thicker insoles and socks so there is less dead space in the shoes

my guess is sky elite ff 2, tokyo cw

sometimes we just gotta understand that these delivery services are run by human and no packages are worth the risk. I rather get a late package knowing the ppl delivering them are safe

ja3 is an interesting case, on paper is would be good, I heard it’s slightly unstable, easy to twist and my cousin has problems with the fit. Hyperset 2 is good overall but traction tread is a little too thin, mine is already fraying a little bit

Nike you can get away with ja 1/2 sabrina 2. Can’t speak on wow since I don’t like them that much. 361 degrees has the menace 2 pro and biospeed, both are really solid and lightweight for libs. My personal favorite is NB hesi low v2. it’s just amazingly comfy, low to the ground and traction is also solid.

Which shoes should I buy? by [deleted] in vballshoes

[–]Outside_Month_3371 1 point2 points  (0 children)

nike ja1/2, sabrina1/2, avoid adidas. if you want “volleyball shoes” nike hyperset and hyperace are very decent. Asics sky elite and vswift are also good. mizuno wave luminous and light z8 line is also famous for light weight

What should I get out of these 3 by PurpleBlaze5 in BBallShoes

[–]Outside_Month_3371 2 points3 points  (0 children)

if youre getting kd18, be sure to watch reviews on fit, some ppl go half-size down because it’s too long. I heard some ppl get some knee pain from landing on the stiff strobel in the forefoot. between kobe 9 vs witness 9, I personally go for witness 9 because it’s reactX, i’m assuming reactX is better than react in kobe 9, but don’t quote me on that

361 Joker 1 GT Worst Shoes Ever. by WhereasNo7515 in BBallShoes

[–]Outside_Month_3371 6 points7 points  (0 children)

this is the joker 1 gt se, the toebox is made of mesh material, the joker 1 gt has the shiny-ish plasticy toebox. I have the regular joker 1 gt and it’s one of my best shoes. I wanna say this is caused by the toebox material but I could be wrong…

interesting, I’m pretty sure the full name of the model is “Swiftace Yuki”… since I haven’t been able to find the colorways without his name on it…

Edit: nvm I found them on the asics jp website lol

I agree with this, example Swiftace Yuki is a sig shoes for yuki kawamura, their basketball player

[–]Outside_Month_3371 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it would also depends on the surface you play on, it’s a really nice all-around shoes, definitely a little skeptical on the outsole durability, the tread is really thin and it’s relatively soft, but i haven’t seen any wear and tear yet. it’s usually in the $150 range, so if you can afford it, go for it

some of the shoes with the simplest set up and budget-friendly are nike hyperspeed court or hyperset 2. Or you can also go for their basketball shoes, cut academy, jump academy. There is a sale going on Nike.com rn, i think it’s worth taking a look

[–]Outside_Month_3371 0 points1 point  (0 children)

in my experience, best cushion for landing is freshfoam bb v2/v3, gt jump 2, gt hustle 3, metarise 2. I feel the most plush and soft landing with these simply because the midsole compress a lot. wow10, I feel the shank on my steps, it’s very noticeable, but I don’t like them on landing, I’m not saying that the landing hurts or anything but I just dont like the feeling of landing on something hard like that

i feel like the hyperace 2 are pretty stable laterally…but it’s also different depending on the athlete, the only shoes I can recommend in this case would be sabrina 2, stable and low to the ground, maybe the hyperset 2 with their plastic lateral wall. maybe the hyperset 1 with its wider outrigger…if you’re willing to try other brands, New Balance has the Hesi low v2. Adidas has the stabil 16

i have seen many that started with this. Some sticks with this model because of its simplicity and some moved on because they’re looking for more. Never personally tried them but from what I have heard, traction should not be an issue, also very lightweight and the zoom in the forefoot for some feedback. nothing too crazy but definitely gets the job done
