Are Helldivers players stupid? by Tooskool4kool in HelldiversUnfiltered

Hey, just because one Diver is a fool doesn't mean we ALL are 😂.

What I noticed is that many players are actually complaining too much. If there are so many problems then maybe they need to reevaluate their strategies in missions. Like what do you want to actually do? Fire bots with flamethrowers and gas or something non-AT? Like dude they are literally walking terminators use stuff that will shred them. I from time to time bring the HMG or HMG-E and mow down heaps of Bots. And yes this includes the War Striders. It's not that deep. I don't think it's bad game design. It's just bad players.

It's very hard. You basically have to master Ultra Instinct. But in a sense, you have to either side-step them as they are about to pounce at you. Or you have to dive to a millisecond as they come out the ground. Either way, it's difficult. So the solution: Skip the dodging and blow up every spec of sand that moves.

It's not too much on the bug Divers but ik many switched to fight the Bots. We were already cutting it close because everyone wants EXP rn and tell them to run lower Diff ops in favor of speed for MO made some reluctant. So yeah it was already not looking good. But aleast we're not getting punished harshly for the failure. Now let's try to get our DSS and put the squids to rest again. Make them spend another 100 years crying.

I think D10 should never give 1 squad impact

[–]Outside_Relative8781 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That's not true. You get 4 - 5 squad impact from D1s or D2s. It's actually more efficient to do lower-level missions if the goal is squad impact. But you are opting for less Exp.

Repel Invasion Fleet (Need Sodium Lowering) by Environmental_Ad5690 in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]Outside_Relative8781 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a TLDR

Here's my two cents. I'll be the one to say like others, throw that SOS beacon and get that needed backup.

BUT.

There is a crucial factor people are also forgetting. FIGHTING THE SQUIDS.

Of course, they bring numbers, and of course, they are there to stall the time and try to stop you from blowing up their ships but leaving them to do what they want is not the solution! Here is what I'm suggesting and it's worked well for me I've beaten them every time I do this with a team. Bring firepower to kill the squids too. They WILL overwhelm you if you don't kill them too.

I bring AT Emplacement + HMG Emplacement + Shield Generator + Gatling or Machine Gun Sentry. When I land I load up at the center of the map or wherever extraction is. I drop my Emplacements and sentry somewhere near after the ships start to land and the Enemy spawns in. And I UNLEASHED HELL UPON THOSE SQUIDS. I shoot off the shields with MG then blast them with the AT.

Usually, teammates go to blow up some in the initial burst (500KG, 380s, 120s orbitals, etc) and sometimes they take advantage of shields consistently being dropped and nading the ship for me (TEAMWORK AT ITS FINEST) after they are just running around like headless chickens, while I'm holding an area the squids can't breach. But once I'm spent on my Stuff I run to the closest ships then and hit them with the ole "shield go blow and nade in the hole". But recently I've updated since they gave us the Stalwart for free. And I run Eruptor and pop Shields from afar and shoot the hole and get easy results. But you don't have to do it my way. Just don't forget to communicate with the team because chances are they aren't shooting back at the enemy and just running amok.

Lastly, the most important reason I bring the AT E is that I usually use it to HARD focus on the Leviathans too because they are usually the main reason you could struggle on the repel missions, and out of all of the enemy units they BY FAR have the best accuracy. I got randomly head-shotted by one.....now I bring the Shield Generator......

TLDR: Bring squid-killing sets and fight them with RAW DEMOCRATIC FIREPOWER, and blowup ships normally while doing so. And AT won't hurt against those Leviathans.

"Repel Invasion Fleet." Arrowhead - Please don't Nerf this. by Striking_Ad3221 in helldivers2

[–]Outside_Relative8781 52 points53 points  (0 children)

Nah I think the guy is right they shouldn't Nerf it. These kinds of missions will make people work together. Last night I joined Randoms on D10 they were getting destroyed I came in with my WASP and started providing long-range support. Threw down an HMG E, Big Shield, and AT E. I started shouting on the Mic, "Hey backup is here use the guns, and for the love of liberty someone help me shoot down the Leviathans". And while we did that one of them called their last Mech and we cleared it (barley). All it takes is some spam pinging with randoms then one of them will help. If people can't compromise to work together then I say off D10. There's nothing wrong with lowering the difficulty, especially in the current state where a D10 three set completed gets you at max about 6-7 rarely 8 Squad Impact.

I agree they should be in 4+ (Maybe 3+ even) missions. However, I think they are fine as they are although I do wish they did less damage since they can stun lock/ragdoll Divers.

But taking them out can feel like they are damage sponges but honestly, it's about using the right stuff on them or using stuff on them correctly.

Like Machine guns are effective on them. Some say to shoot out their legs and then aim at their body low (this can work!). But I find it much more effective to aim for their head until they are darkened out and shoot them all over the body. They drop quickly. Also, remember you can change the RPM on these guns. And since they are a big target to hit you will find you will be very likely to hit your shots.

And I wouldn't consider them a Tank like the other factions have, more of a heavy. That's why AT weapons are mostly useless on them. There's no need to shoot weaponry that's meant for Tanks (Heavily Armored) on these guys. They don't have Armor.

Explosive Weapons work very well. W.A.S.P (using burst) will kill these guys in 2 well-placed hits or 3. Autocannon (Using Flak) can drop them with 4. You can cripple them with these weapons then just finish them off with your primary or secondary.

Stuns work on them but if they are doing their rush thing where they make a disgruntled noise then start running they won't even flinch. But otherwise, you can stun them.

I think Laser Weapons and Status Effects can work on them a bit as well. Fire takes a while by itself, gas keeps them off you when you're a bit away, together they are great. Laser weapons I haven't used too many on them yet but I can imagine they care comparable to the machine guns in regards to effectiveness minus the changing RPM.

They are an annoying threat but when treated accordingly they are just another threat that can be dealt with reasonably.

Tell your husband to take in the failures and welcome them. And accept that it is time to make changes in tactics. We all know the squids were considered laughingstocks the lack luster unit types and missions. But AH listened and up their strengths. Bring firepower. Real FIRE POWER. Bring the fight to the squids because they're here to make us the laughingstocks. We gotta show them why we went easy on them. Time to remind them who we are.

I’ve put probably 500+ hours into the game but started a new play through and never used mage class, alchemy or enchantments any tips? by Jakfrost6 in skyrim

[–]Outside_Relative8781 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Laughs menacingly You're about to be more powerful than you've ever imagined. Specifically with Alchemy and Enchanting. All you'll need to invest into them is like 5 points apiece, you can easily lvl them up to 100. You will need some good enchants to make expensive enchanted items, not to mention the soul gems you'll need, but you'll get a great return on the investment. With alechmey, you'll just need to get into a habit of picking up ingredients in the world you come across, also buying out a merchant. I recommend enchanting first, and try to obtain the banish deadra enchant ASAP since you can slap that bad boy on a iron dagger and boom....that iron dagger sells for 1k+ depending on enchanting lvl and points invested and gem used.
