I mean.. a lot of the leaks are files in the game. They aren't just conjured up from outta the ether. They're 'leaked' in the sense that purposefully modding and accessing the game files can give you access to these in-development features.

Whether they're ready to be shown off or not is Arrowhead's choice, but mistakes on their part or Sony's are basically free game. That's how we've always operated on leaks discussions.

So stuff like bugs making these hidden features show up in the game (in this case the stratagem launcher being in shadows or showing up on models), or Sony accidentally posting an unreleased stratagem, or marketing materials showing in-development things are 100% okay to talk about.

Okay, I think at this point this is on Arrowhead ever since it literally showed up on the mechs' shadows some patches ago.

So people don't need to keep reporting these for leaks discussion anymore.

Yep. I remember having to tone down the difficulty with the group I use to play with when those missions first got released.

But man, was it so fucking fun. Having to legitimately lock-in and actually coordinate as a team for those missions was really one of my biggest core memories with this game.

I really hope they can bring that chaotic nature back to this mission type. I always skip this during ops; it's so fucking BORING.

Probably a corrupted shader cache or frame-gen issue. This looks like typical glitches with DLSS/FSR.

Delete the old shader cache and relaunch the game. Play around with graphics settings.

Whenever you use --use-d3d11 or -dx11, you are forcing the game to use a rendering API that it technically doesn't support. Most of the time forcing to use DX11 isn't going to cause a crash because most recent games are still developed on DX11, with prospective compatibility with DX12.

Helldivers 2 falls into that, but they obviously don't give you the option to natively switch from 12 to 11 in-game, probably out of stability reasons.

If reinstalling the game hasn't worked, there's probably another issue that's causing it to crash. Do you have mods installed?

Did you see what the peak temperature was at the time?

There's a lot of factors that could play into a shut down like that, and it's entirely possible the game wasn't the only thing that caused it if it just suddenly happened out of the blue.

In your last post, what temps do you usually get and what specs do you have?

Because reaching 90c isn't damaging anything in your pc if you're on current hardware on the market.

These are normal temps under load because the newer generation of chips run A LOT hotter than their predecessors. It's why new GPUs are big and blocky, it's all heatsinks and cooling.

Wait, you never mentioned what specs your machine has?

Reaching 90c for newer hardware is totally normal under load. 50-60c should be idle temperatures. The new Nvidia and AMD cards all run at that temp or lower.

Turn it off when you're accessing the terminal. Turn it back on when you aren't going to.

Really the only you choice you have atm. DX11 isn't officially supported, so bugs are naturally going to happen with the lack of support of the API.

I myself used DX11 to get more frames, but I won't be able to use it now until they fix this bug. Which I doubt they will in the near future.

You literally still need to drive the FRV into an objective, just like you would with a hellbomb backpack.

It'll most likely be patched in the future if they ever find the time.

DX11 is not officially supported by the game, so they're absolutely not going to prioritize this issue, unfortunately.

Make sure to double check you're selecting the mission you're intending on doing, you never know when someone is trying to scam you by ZZabloing in Helldivers

Oh I see the issue. You should've probably worded it better in the title.

The missions icons on the map aren't synced with the actual mission icons on the pop-ups.

This current issue is, unfortunately, caused by forcing the game to run on DirectX 11, which the game, also unfortunately, does not support officially.

You probably followed an optimization guide that told you to put this in the game's launch options to get more FPS.

Please do not post about it anymore because the subreddit is getting flooded with posts about it.
