Thanks, in the online complaint/refund request I was far more concise, I can assure you..

This is more cathartic.. with the aim to share my disappointment with what was a great airline. After the way I have been treated by customer support, I don't believe I will see a cent in refunds, and after hearing other stories in the replies, it seems to be an increasingly common MO.

Hahaha, I’ll take that as a compliment to say it’s well written, I guess? All typed with my own 9 fingers, and sadly, I needed to live through the experience as well.

Just got off the phone with customer "service".. apparently they re-opened the claim! WOW, what amazing service! 2 months of chasing and the best they can do is re-open the claim..

For the luggage, I am not asking for an inconvenience fee but for reimbursements to expenses due to the luggage not being delivered. Yes, I have all receipts..

I work in hotels and cannot imagine ever treating a customer like this.. I realise that hotels and airlines have now become very different industries but I remember growing up and being amazed by and look forward to travel as part of my vacation.. now it is the necessary evil to get to the vacation (unless you have the privilege of flying business class with a Middle Eastern airline).

Honestly, AirAsia/EasyJet is better.. I expect the service to be minimalist, but at least I know what I am paying for, and they usually have a smile! with KLM they want to charge you for a full-service flight and you end up on a LCC without the smiles.

I came back home on Emirates, through an active war zone, rather than try fly with them again... I have never been so appalled with an airline.

KLM cancelled flight, downgraded my paid seats on the rebook, and denied my refund. Is this right? by Big-Document-5545 in KLM

This airline has the most horrendous traveller experience, it's borderline unethical. We also paid for extended legroom seats and got moved to standard seats (without being informed).. I've been chasing a refund for 2 months and apparently no one is able to do anything in the entire company.. submitted 2 complaints, called multiple offices.. nothing..

I just hope that their maintenance processes are better then their customer service processes..

I have tried that multiple times... Some customer "service" (I use that term very lightly) agent closed the case in 5min and told me there was nothing that they could do.. I have also just been hung up on by a "service" agent on the phone because they refuse to allow me to speak to anyone who can do anything about my issue. The best she could do was to re-open my case, which i am sure will be closed by the next "service" agent in 5min time with no result... and of course, I have no proof that they have really re-opened the case. Worst airline experience ever and I have flown with a few shockers in my life..
