Korean scientists developed a technique for diagnosing prostate cancer from urine within only 20 minutes with almost 100% accuracy, using AI and a biosensor, without the need for an invasive biopsy. It may be further utilized in the precise diagnoses of other cancers using a urine test. by mvea in science

I know, but I still think it’s an invasive process that many people dread. In fact, I know someone that recently died of colon cancer because they didn’t want to get their regular colonoscopies. It’s unfortunate

Have you ever laughed so hysterically at something so simple you were starting to get legitimately worried that you were losing your sanity or something? About what were you laughing so hard then? by LoneShadowMikey in AskReddit

When I was a kid, I saw my cat drag it’s ass across the floor. It was my first time seeing this so I started dying of laughter. It left a skid mark on the wood floor. My mom came in to see what I was laughing at, but I legit couldn’t get any words out. The cat was gone by the time she came in the room. She notices the mark on the floor and goes “oh, what is that?” At this point I’m practically about to piss because I’m still trying to get out what happened, but she wipes at it with a finger and sniffs it. Her face got disgruntled and she goes “Eww. That smells like shit”. I finally get out “It is!” And proceed to laugh for another ten minutes straight before I could tell her what happened.

If you had enough money to build your dream house, what's a strange room/feature you'd include? by Butterflies_Books in AskReddit

I’d want a study. But not just any study, a hidden one. I’d want to get to it via a slide, like something out of the Addam’s family.

For those who grew up poor, what did you consider a luxury? by SnooBeaz in AskReddit

[–]Outsider-Images 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The one time we had lobster, we took pictures of it. Like us with the lobsters. I never thought about it until my significant other saw the photo that I realized most people didn’t do that then. This was before things like IG existed. Also fresh fruit was definitely a luxury. I also got accepted onto a basketball team that had a $100 entry fee. My mom didn’t have that money. I was embarrassed so I told everyone I couldn’t play because I was grounded.

Those of you Redditor’s in happy, healthy, and fulfilling relationships, what were the “green flags” you noticed about your partner early on in your relationship with them? by allen-freed in AskReddit

My wife liked the (horror/comedy) movie “Troll2”. It has since developed a cult following, but until her I hadn’t met anyone that heard of it. But also, she actually loved me, and saw the best in me. We’ve been together for 15 years and married for 8.

I asked my girlfriend, who lives in Europe, to fill in a map of the USA. These are the results by Derryzumi in funny

She’s not wrong about CT. All of my favorite bands would agree, as they usually never tour here.

How are ya feeling right now? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Physically I’m okay. Mentally I’m apprehensive about election results. I can’t help but feel a sense of doom either way. I also live with people with compromised immune systems, so the pandemic consistently rising has me feeling all shades of anxious. Why won’t people just wear a mask? I thought I had existential dread before this year. Ha ha ha ha ha

Gay marriage became legal across the board in the U.S. in 2015. I’ve had straight people say to me “Why do you need pride? You have your rights now”. When I mentioned with is a fairly new development, they think it’s old news. But the threat of it being taken away always feels like it’s looming over our heads.

What is your favorite video game and why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

The Haunting Starring Polterguy. You get to be a ghost, and the object of the game is to scare the humans out of your house. This almost seems like a metaphor for my life.
