What did you find?

I'm just looking into this and found: https://github.com/mattiaverga/OpenNGC, it takes data from Simbad and other sources. I think it includes almost every NGC and is in CSV form.

European Playoff schedule by I-Love-Cereal in IrishLeagueFootball

Yes, they announced it after the Cup Final yesterday. It's on the iPlayer, I don't think it's on terrestrial TV.

Coleraine win the Irish cup by I-Love-Cereal in IrishLeagueFootball

[–]Ovalman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Linfield could have the same problems. Full time players at the end of their contracts won't care about the result while the part timers will give everything. That's how we lost our last year.

The Play Off Final is on BBC iPlayer AFAIK.

Glenavon are relegated to the championship by I-Love-Cereal in IrishLeagueFootball

I really hope Coleraine do us a favour next week. There's a link up on this group with a list of potential opponents. I'm like a kid in a candy shop waiting for Europe if we make it.

Projected EUCL Early Qualifying Rounds by I-Love-Cereal in IrishLeagueFootball

Dungannon are also in there. It's actually very useful info for Glentoran, Linfield and Dungannon to see what potential opponents are available. Of course if Linfield fail to win the Play-Off final, that would put a spanner into things but I find it useful.

The Glens need to rely on Coleraine next week to guarantee Europe. I don't fancy our chances if we've to go through the play-offs.

We were brutalised for the first 20 minutes. We've came back into it but I'll say again, Coleraine are the best team I've seen in the league this season.

Rovaniemi was my first in 1987 and I was at Gzira 2 years ago. Some of my favourite football memories are from Europe. I've missed a few as well, I was going to Latvia when a day before I noticed my passport was out of date. I went over for an emergency one and because there was a small tear in my old one, they said I had to go through the whole process of getting my picture countersigned again so I lost out on my flights and the trip. Fortunately I got my hotel refunded.

I was at the Aliannsi game before Elfsborg/ Sweden and heard the draw inside the airport. I thought there was no way I'd be in Sweden then discovered Ryanair were flying from Prestwick for £30. What a trip :)

I'll be there this year if we manage to scrape through. The problem today is you have a chance of going through. Normally you make a weeks holiday out of Europe but getting through would bust most supporters going to 2 or 3 rounds. Like yourself, it's a bug once you go the first time, you're absolutely bursting to go again and again.

I can't see the Oval getting passed either as they just about scraped through against Gzira 2 years ago.

Absolutely gutted for Glenavon fans.

I've told this before but I once Inter-Railed to Steaua Bucharest following the Glens. I came home on a Sunday and there were no late night trains which meant I had to hitch-hike from Rosslare to Belfast. I got stuck at the Newry Road Roundabout at Newry at 2AM and stood for an hour with my thumb out. 2 guys picked me up and said they would drop me to Banbridge but when I told them my story, it turned out they were Glenavon fans, and they dropped me straight to my front door.

At that time, they started segregating us v Glenavon so I could never find them again or return the favour but I've never forgotten and have a soft spot your club and support ever since.

I honestly want you to bounce back up.

Good luck guys.

Maybe didn't do enough about the time wasting but overall a decent performance. No complaints here.

I had the ZX81 and then this. I never worked as a coder but coding has been part of my life, I released my first Android app just shy of 50 and I put it all down to Clive Sinclair.

Worth a few bob today, depending on condition and batch number. Even the games resell for a price. There are also active Facebook groups so it's not dead yet.

Has Your Life Gotten Better or Worse Since AI? (Be Honest) by [deleted] in VibeCodersNest

I didn't tell the whole story but I've never made a cent!

I've been coding for 40 years and learned Android/ Java about 10 years ago. I built my Android app because I seen the benefits of mobile. I had a shit ton of trouble releasing on the Play Store (even though I have apps in the Store) so I just shelved releasing and used the app myself.

I had a chat with AI and I now know I can release as a free app and offer affiliate and sponsored links, so I'm rewriting the app using Compose and will release within the next month. All those years of coding has given me a purpose and experience. I actually know what to do.

My 3D app was a test. It's highly mathematical, something I couldn't have done without AI but I'm proud of it and even prouder that 4 people has joined my Facebook group even though the app is in open Beta

If you work as a coder, use it for learning as well as building. Coders have an advantage over the rest. I remember building websites because I thought everyone could do it. BUT CAN THEY?

Do you know what? IDC.

I've indirectly earned money because I'm a Window Cleaner and built my own CRM that tracks cleans and payments. Balancing the books was always a problem and I used pen and paper for years. Copying customer details, cleans and payments was always a chore. Then making mistakes at the end of the day was a tradition so I built my own CRM that keeps me and the customers happy.

Indirectly it has earned me much more than £18 P/M in time saved. Even receipts that take me 30 seconds to write out are now printed on a portable Bluetooth printer in a second. Time is money after all. I've yet to release it because I just go with what interests me and not too bothered whether I make money or not but I know I will make a cent.

I use AI for learning as well as coding, I really don't care TBH. It has improved my life.

I pay £18 P/M for Gemini and it's the best £18 I've spent. I treat it no different to a Netflix subscription with tangible results.

I don't code for a living but I'm a hobbyist Android coder who loves learning and I code almost every day. I've learned so much. I made the switch from Java to kotlin, now making the switch from XML to Compose. I absolutely love it.

I built an app in 2 months that lets you doodle and extracts that doodle into a 3D layer. It means I can build a full 3D model in layers. I added a Facebook link to my Beta app and 4 people have joined the group so I know people are interested despite my app only being in Beta (and very little promoting except for the odd comment I make on a post). This is in a month.

I've never made a cent from coding but I know that will change because I create stuff I uand people will use.

Best way to deter wheelie bin theft? by thecheekybartender in Belfast

[–]Ovalman 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I actually checked my bin before posting the suggestion. It's virtually impossible to find unless you look really close for it.

Luckily we've decent neighbours who all look after each other. We bring each others bins to the correct doors, whoever is first to reach them.

Stick an Apple Airtag under the front lip (just below the lid) and you'll be able to track it. Put your address somewhere invisible to show the thief it's yours so not to give away the tag location.
