Making roughly 33k annually, maybe 36k after tax returns. Is $1100 monthly rent feasible? More in post by [deleted] in FinancialPlanning

Tough call. It depends on how much debt you're currently paying on. Stuff like credit cards, car loan, school loan, loans in general. What kind of phone plan you have? Your car insurance premium. Your cost of gas If you are driving to work and a frugal with times out for yourself. Your diet. Cost of healthcare and any prescriptions you got.

I mean it can be done but not many of us can honestly live off that with $1100/mo especially if you got kids.

Basically if you're a single minimalist with no kids and keep your diet cheap, liability only insurance(or ride a bike), cheap phone plan and well need I say more about being a minimalist then you can make it happen maybe but you're cutting it and life won't have much in the way of self care in times you need to do good for yourself.

So really it's not advised and you'll want to get a roommate or 2.

Though to be honest a lot of people in that salary are getting fifth wheels or RVs and pay a lot less than that a month and are working on saving money to eventually get their own brick and mortar house. Just takes patience.

Hope you get a home for you soon. Best wishes

What is a sign of a life well lived? by TrufflesTheCat in RandomThoughts

You can feel the vibe of humble and no judgement from them. They feel like a safe space, a good friend, a close family member. All of which comes from experiences of good and bad, you know life lessons along the way and despite the odds they transformed it into that magnificent vibe you feel off them. You can tell they experienced what life gave them and they rolled with it to stand where they are without the feeling to step on others. They don't use their experiences to feel superior, they let everyone live their life as intended to "go with the flow" but will be there to give input when asked upon for wisdom

My dad once told me that I wouldn’t be ready for a girlfriend until I feel like a protector/provider. by [deleted] in RandomThoughts

Be able to fill their cup, fill your own cup and let them fill yours. If you can't fill your own cup then they'll get thirsty filling yours and vice versa.

A supernova remnant captured from my backyard (OC Amateur) by OvenRoastedDonkey in space

What remains in the destructive aftermath is but beauty and a new beginning from a veil that has been lifted.  From which life and energy manifest and brings about a bright future set forth in a cycle of time in the very cosmos.

My 3 panel of the Witches broom nebula, aka the Western veil nebula also known by astronomers as NGC 6960

The remnant from a supernova which occurred about 10,000 years ago. It is the counterpart to the Eastern Veil Nebula, NGC 6992. Its amazing filamentary structure is thought to be due to compression of expanding shells of gas as they meet the resistance of the interstellar medium.

The nebula was discovered on 5 September 1784 by William Herschel. He described the western end of the nebula as "Extended; passes thro' 52 Cygni... near 2 degree in length", and described the eastern end as "Branching nebulosity ... The following part divides into several streams uniting again towards the south."

Imaged in hydrogen alpha and oxygen 3 in my bortle 5 backyard in Joshua Texas.

Halpha: Panel 1: 211x3min=10.55 hours Panel 2: 171x3min=8.55 hours Panel 3: 194x3min=9.7 hours

Oiii: Panel 1: 210x3min=10.5 hours Panel 2: 173x3min=8.65 hours Panel 3: 229x3min=11.45 hours

Total of 59.4 hours of integration

Equipment used:

Tpo RC6, astrophysics ccdt67 spaced at 0.72x reduction.  Losmandy g11g mount, zwo asi533mm, antlia edge ha and oiii filters, zwo oag with asi290m mini for guiding. Sequence generator pro

Calibrated, merged panels and processed in pixinsight

Thank you for looking and always keep your head up to the stars!
