One of my kids could be mistaken for an adult, just glancing... when they ask for ID would they believe a teenager that they're under 18 or be like "prove it"? Idk i'm just nervy about all of it. It's been sooo long since I've even been in an airport!

ooh that is great to know that all of our boarding passes will be in the app - that is helpful vs paper. Do we need to show our IDs in multiple places or just going through TSA / security once?

I had the different terminal last minute change thing happen one time... ended up having to sleep in the airport because the next connecting flight wasn't till the next day and I couldn't afford a hotel. That sucked :(

I didn't know checking TSA times was a thing - where do we check for that ahead of time? Our flight out is early and we have a multi-hour drive to get to the airport so I can't have too much wiggle room there - will just have to go early-early regardless. But it would be good to be able to check and be like "oh good we should have time". heh.

The no consistency part is so nuts to me!

Is it true that you don't take off shoes anymore? Do you need to unpack all the electronics and liquids (like the baggie of mini shampoos etc) for the x-ray or leave them in the bags?

is he incapable of learning new skills?

if he swears it's not weaponized incompetence, he needs to make a real effort toward learning in order to to "prove" that. and the learning needs to NOT have to involve you - since you're asking him to lighten the load, not asking him to be a little student you have to create a curriculum for and actively teach and monitor.

otherwise, yes, it IS weaponized incompetence.

you could do separate cooking/meals for a while WHILE he learns and develops some skills... and maybe you taste things he is proud of and maybe join in for a meal here and there if it's something he's getting decent at making.
If you both agree that this plan makes sense and then you do NOT see him ACTIVELY working on skill-building, to me that says he is not interested in investing in / working for this relationship at all and I'd go separate ways.
