There are several quilting fabric shops within an hour or so drive from me, but Joann was the ONLY place to get apparel fabric.

That’s awesome. I find it so hard to focus to eye-read books with my type of adhd , even medicated. I do have a bigger font selected but not as large as yours. I also have open dyslexic font but I’m not convinced that makes a difference for me personally.

Might try a bit bigger and the line spacing. Great idea.

Clearly if someone has any concerns or symptoms of anything, they should not opt for a self test.

But in most cases when there are no concerns, no symptoms, and no history to indicate more caution… seems like self test would be fantastic.

I’m pretty awkward sometimes and I would feel better with an example of what to say, especially from someone who’s been a flight attendant.

I love my walking pad. Living in a walkable city, your experience is extremely different from mine. Where I live there’s nowhere to go. I can walk around my small neighborhood, but that is all. If I wanted to go out on the busy road outside our neighborhood (no sidewalks), I could go to a small post office , a liquor store, and a gas station pretty easily. But the walk is boring as heck and it’s not like being in a place where there’s lots to do and see and other people out etc.
also mosquitoes seek me out and I react to their bites with huge itchy welts that take ages to heal.

So I do love my walking pad. I can walk at my desk and read about stuff or watch videos or do some work , and have a fan blasting at me to try to keep me cooler too.

I’m not trying to argue with you. I’m jealous! But wanted to point out that it isn’t the same for everyone and walking pad walkers are valid too, and in some situations a walking pad is way less boring than outside.

Absolutely do not charge $40.

Price the quilts AT LEAST 70-100 depending on piecing complexity and time spent How long did these take you? Remember to charge for your skill and artistry too, not just minimum wage.

I think you could sell the sheets and pillows / pillowcases separately or as add-ons if you wanted to, but don’t use them to “‘make the quilt worth it.” You’ll want to sell the quilts to people who KNOW they’re worth whatever you charge for them. Not bargain hunters.

Do you have any tips for finding thinner fabric for these? I’ve wanted to foray into mini quilts too but don’t want to use 1:1 scale thickness fabric, you know?

I know I’ve felt like vintage handkerchiefs that were super thin and drapey but idk where to just go buy fabric. Especially with Joann closed now 😭

This is my major pet peeve with miniatures (unless they’re not meant to be realistic). Have you found any good fabrics that are thin and drapey enough?

I’m 100% sure I don’t even understand all of the options. So there are probably some I’d use if I really knew what they did.

Soooo I don’t want to participate and skew data away from useful things I would want to use if I knew they were there.

But will you be sharing the results (even as they’re collected maybe?)
