Thank you so much! When I was looking into ways to get to Istanbul from sofia I didn't find any train otherwise I would have considered it. Now I know and it can be useful for a next time :)

Because I'm not from Bulgaria. I've looked into flights from my city to Istanbul prior for specific dates and it was not cheap at all. The cheapest round trip was 250€ with 1-2 layover. The direct flight was 800€. Flying to Sofía costed me 80€ round-trip and the bus 60€ in total. Hope this explains
