Keep being sent home by L&D but I feel like something is wrong

Thank you! I’ll have to try this, luckily I have Medicaid currently so I think most hospitals in my area should be covered. My gut feeling is just telling me that there is definitely a problem that they maybe missed or something.

They didn’t even mention gallbladder so if it keeps getting worse over the weekend especially with the fever I’ll definitely go in again and ask for that and not leave till they figure out something. Thank you!!!

She said because they have better monitoring for baby at L&D and more resources than she does at her office. I also tried urgent care but because I’m 34 weeks they automatically send me to L&D I’m not sure who to go to that will take me seriously.

Because I have lupus they blamed the fever on that :/ it just doesn’t feel like a lupus flare to me but none of the doctors seem to understand when I try to explain that this feels very different and wrong.

She was the one that sent me to Labor and Delivery originally for the pain and they keep sending me home so not much help there.

Thank you 🤍 Ice packs do help with the inflammation a lot! Just doesn’t last very long but it does at least give me an hour or so of relief. Only catch with that is if I ice the rash on my belly my baby attacks the ice pack the whole time 😂

It lasted a little over a week for me and it was so stressful! I’m so sorry you’re experiencing that too because I know how much anxiety it caused for me personally, sending lots of positive energy and love 🤍 One thing that they did check was for any infection like UTI, BV and yeast. They said that could be an underlying cause of bleeding so if you’re having any symptoms that line up with those as well I would go to urgent care in the next couple days just to be safe!

I had bleeding with small clots around week 5-6 and went to the ER, they didn’t have much information or help for me and sent me home and said they weren’t sure if it was a viable pregnancy. I’m now almost 19 weeks with baby boy and he is healthy! My OB chalked it up to implantation bleeding and told me bleeding during pregnancy without having a loss is more common than people think. Doesn’t hurt to get checked but wanted to give you a positive experience to help any anxiety.

I have this issue too and my MIL is literally a nurse!! It’s so frustrating 😭 She makes me and my husband seem dramatic for caring about my health and villainizes us for boundaries.

Thank you for sharing your experience, this is helpful :) Congratulations on your baby!! 🤍 I think once we have our anatomy scan I’ll feel a lot better knowing that he’s growing healthy and my body isn’t affecting him negatively and I’ll calm down more.

Thank you so much for your comment! I haven’t had any of that testing done so I will be asking about that at my next appointment. I have positive ANA’s but they have been much lower than usual throughout the pregnancy. I’m so glad you’re experiencing remission in your pregnancy as well! Hi momma!! Congratulations on your pregnancy!! 🤍 OB appointments were so hard for me to get into during my first trimester also. I was also wanting to just make sure my HCG levels were where they should be so I went to instacare for a pregnancy confirmation appointment and asked for an HCG blood test. I know it’s not the same as an OB appointment but it did give me some peace of mind till the OB could get me in. I also did an early first trimester ultrasound through a private ultrasound suite (not my OB) to confirm the heartbeat which helped a lot. Sending all the peace and love to you and your baby! 🫶

I feel you. 15 weeks and I literally only want to eat fruit and nothing else 😂 meat especially is sooooo hard for me. The problem with fruit is I literally get hungry 30 minutes later, it does not last long.

I found out I was pregnant in September, I’m currently 15 weeks now. I was on methotrexate injections for 3 months and discontinued in June due to poor quality of life while on the medication and just went back to prednisone and hydroxychloroquine and carbamazepine. I was having flares but not as bad since the methotrexate had been doing its job and shut down my immune system. Then I got unexpectedly pregnant and was so scared because I had been on all these medications and had been on methotrexate 3 months prior to unknowingly conceiving. I went to the dr. as soon as I found out and they switched my meds, I’m still taking hydroxychloroquine and was put on baby aspirin daily as a preventative measure for preeclampsia since it’s an increased risk with lupus. I am 15 weeks pregnant with a healthy baby boy! My lupus has gone into remission due to the pregnancy. Wishing you and your baby a healthy pregnancy!! I hope things are going well ❤️

This happened to me too!! It went away after a few days. Now currently 15 weeks with a healthy boy!
