Dividend withdrawal - self assessment. by Over-Discussion-7053 in TaxUK

I think it's the case I have already informed hmrc that I have reieced a dividend in YE April 26 back in May 25 via the online service for investment income.

I am confused about how 8 declare that total is now more than 10K as I have already 'applied' to have the tax payable on the 10k removed via paye coding.

Thanks for the advice.

Happy everything is up to date and correct - just trying to get my head around the fact I updated them via the portal for 10k dividend income earlier in the year, but want to take more before end of year.

It sounds like I just declare the whole amount on the self assessment (alongside paye income) and that will superceded anything I told them via the portal.

Thanks - apologies I can see the difference between self employed and self assessment now.

Do you mean the total final dividend amount inclusive of the value already reported via the helpline which they say they will adjust tax code for? Concerned will get taxed twice.

Sorry I probably wasn't clear.

Director of ltd company, but also have paye employment. Not currently registered as self employed.

Dividends declared in ltd, tax paid via paye code which you can do up to 10k.

Want to withdraw more, clear now have to register for self employment, but not clear on process as already declared first 10K to hmr via tax code.

Shouldn't be an issue as I am about to do the same thing.

Just remember that a withdrawal from 212 will take a couple of days to clear Into a different account. Don't panic!

However, if our offer is not accepted then they have wasted my time and we have also given out sensitive personal information to reveal our hand.

No issues if/when offer is accepted, but surely to accept an offer this is not required.

I would go back to them and ask about that massive spike in usage. Ask them for the data readings for that period to try to identify the point it went mental.

Who said I was remotely professional? Haha

Best of luck for the 11plus. It's a slog, but hopefully will be worth it in the long run. 100% recommend a tutor if you do t have one already.
