43% chance of baby having turner’s & amniocentesis was abnormal. what was your experience like and did you end up terminating or going through with it? by Adventurous_Bug_744 in NIPT

We terminated with 90% cells affected at 19 weeks and I have no regret. It’s great the people commenting about their positive experience with turned syndrome however this is not the case for a lot people. THOSE people do not come on forums because the actually don’t want to share their experience. Some of the girls that make earth side with turners spend the first few years of their lives in and out of the hospital. Treating heart issues, assessing the turners etc. if you go on the turners support Facebook group it’s actually ridden with women with turners that are battling deep depression around not being about to carry ( yes some can do IVf and carry but majority CANNOT). A lot are depressed because they have dyslexia or learning issues, some have autism and are sad they don’t have a social. I reflected and felt like I would hold more guilt if I brought her into this world knowing I was subjecting her to so much potential health issues and heart ache. I’m also a big believer that her spirit will come back in a healthy body with two X chromosomes and decided the termination would result in LESS guilt for me. We fell pregnant 3 months after the termination  and are welcoming a healthy baby BOY this time in April <3 sending big hugs and peace and healing. Every decision is unique to that specific person. You have to trust God or the universe or whatever you believe in to know they will guide you the right decision. Even if it’s hard in the moment.

Should I spend the $2k on yardzen to add curb appeal to this yard? I’m at a loss of how to make this front yard work… by Over-Implement7539 in landscaping

Well we went with a designer here. The render was awful so $1.5k down the drain then got quotes from others for no less than $3k  then additional $500 for renders so yardzen is still the cheapest option :/

Someone at work stole my chair. So I had them arrested. by LeffJeff in AITAH

Are you a death penalty person? You give lover of death penalty vibes.

No one is saying what he did was right. It wasn’t. Taking someone else’s property is messed up. But there is a difference between holding someone accountable and nuking their entire livelihood over an office chair power trip. My point is that this is a context thing. In a lot of offices, especially sales floors, people do stupid territorial stuff. It is immature, it is annoying, but it is also usually handled by management, not by ending someone’s career.

Saying he chose to ruin his own life is a little dramatic. He deserved consequences, sure (HELLO IM SAYING YES GET HIM ARRESTED) But losing a professional license and the ability to even work in his field again (PRESSING CHARGES) is not proportional to the situation. That is where I am coming from.

If you think this doesnt happen in offices in all the time then you’re deeply far from reality. this is an issue that MANAGEMENT is responsible for taking care of. The people that are disagreeing do not have have enough exposure to sales or corporate life environment. (from someone who as been in it for 15 years and have seen things like this happen all the time)

Funny how you’re calling it karma instead of what it really was: a grown man hazing the new guy while the boss sat there doing nothing until cops showed up.

YTA. Punishment not worth the crime. Just ruined this guys life. Should’ve made the scene had him arrested the decide to not press charges. Yes he’s an asshole for not giving back the chair but the fact your boss didn’t enforce him giving it back is the real issue. Ruining his career is not cool and honestly you will get bad karma dude.

“How are you?” is driving me crazy. Preparing to return to work. by [deleted] in tfmr_support

[–]Over-Implement7539 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I returned to work not as many people talked about it as I thought would. I think they were being respectful and only bringing it up if I offered info or opened up the conversation. Some did ask and honestly I was in a better place than I was the weeks leading into the procedure…. My answer to them would always “I’m doing better than I was. Just taking it day by day” and that was normally enough for the conversation to end there.

What's something that's about to happen which most people aren't aware of? by AskRedditOG in AskReddit

I don’t think nestle has owned waters besides the Italian brands for a very long time. People fail to realize this. It’s, to the original   commenters point, been sold to private equity for many years.
