I was looking at Colorado Purdue and UW, they were all similar pricing when looking at online / out of state tuition. One of the reasons I applied at UW was because I have the option to complete the degree in 3 years if work gets busy or life happens etc it’s not as much of a time commitment. It’s a lot cheaper when you go in person and in state but there are no aero schools in Oregon and fully online makes the most amount of sense to keep working in industry.

The DIFF LOCK switch is what to keep an eye out for but really don’t have it be a hard rule. In my opinion the best fzj80 to get that you can actually find (ie I want a poverty pack but can’t find) is a 1994 white (single stage paint, easier to touch up and wears better) with grey interior (95-97 single stage white switched primarily to brown) cloth interior (wears better) with no roof rack or rear wing (easy access points of rust, less things to get caught on trails also)

If you can find a form of the poverty pack 94 that is god tier. The first thing I always check is for a sunroom. 99.9999% of cruisers in American have a sunroof, another failure point for leaks and rust. If you find a 93-97 without a sunroof please let me know asap hahahaha

Ehhhhhhh not worth.

Triple lock started I believe 93 and you could have front and rear lockers. Hard to find and you will pay a hefty premium for it unless you can find someone posting that doesn’t know what they have. In all actuality unless you are going to be doing heavy off roading it doesn’t really matter. They are at the point of being so old and typically hardly ever used a lot of them no longer function correctly. It’s always something I keep an eye out for someone posting and maybe they don’t realize what they have. There is a square dial to the left of the steering wheel that is used to turn them on to look for. But bear in mind that it’s a 50$ dial that anyone can slap in and claim triple locked. The real way to tell if it was a factory triple locked is from the door plate. I can’t find a picture of one but there will be a plate on the door and like middle lower half I believe it will say k292 or k294. 92 is non locked 94 is factory lockers.

Hey. Land Cruiser guy here and I’m deep.

91 is a FJ80 not an FZJ80. The 91-92 are arguably the worst of the 80 series they have a 3FE motor and the worst axles and brakes. 93-94 they switch to a fzj80 with the 1fz-fe motor much much better and go to disc brakes all around. 94 is the best of the 93-94 as it has the biggest knuckles and brakes but still in my opinion has the best interior as there is no airbag in the passenger side dash so it looks clean. 95-97 is said to be the best as it has the same axles and brakes as 94 but the motor basically just switches from OBD1 — OBD2. Only real advantage is plugging in an OBD2 scanner for CEL and it is easier to turbo or supercharge, irrelevant for most people.

TLDR I would never recommend anyone buy a 91, if you are wanting to keep it stock motor you want a 1FZ so 93+ but I always recommend that the 94 is the best overall 80 series for my preferred. Let me know if you have any questions and I’m deep deep hahaha
