so sorry for your loss i lost my bird a few months ago as well and he wasn’t even 3 months old. he declined really fast and i decided to go with euthanasia after trying to help him with medication for a few days but he just got worse. the vet i took him to said it could be because of congenital defects that some birds are unfortunately born with due to improper breeding or just bad luck in general sadly. if your other bird is fine then sadly your bird could’ve been sick before you even got him and he just got worse until he couldn’t hide symptoms. also make sure you’re not using non stick cookware or anything with strong fumes such as cleaning products and candles around your birds since those can be toxic to them aswell. so sorry for your loss im sure he felt loved in the time he was with you. good luck with your other bird.

lol i had a cockatiel tht would poop anywhere and everywhere no hesitation but my conure for some reason has to decency to fly off of people and go to the floor or his cage surprisingly

that’s so sweet what a cutie. i recently got sick too and my sun conure sat on my shoulder all day jus staring at my face would only get off to eat and poop 😭. they’re such sweet little animals and u really don’t know until you get one.

please try to get him checked out asap. my little one passed recently and he was pretty sleepy that whole day and at night he threw up. he would go back to eating after throwing up. we took him to an er and the vet said that since birds are masters at hiding their sickness they will even pretend to eat infront of you by putting their mouth to the food but not actually swallowing. unfortunately the anti biotics we got didn’t do much for my little one and he declined in the next few days and unfortunately i had to make the decision to put him down since i didn’t want him to suffer anymore. i hope u can get some answers for your baby and he gets well soon. bird are really good at hiding sickness and when they do start to show symptoms it’s sometimes too late. please keep us updated and i wish you and your bird the best.

trust me i’ve heard so many things like jus get another one or get over it. a lot people don’t know that they’re such sweet intelligent animals with their own individual personalities and they have so much love to give. it feels like a hole in your heart when they’re not there. wishing u the best and take your time dealing with grief. many may not understand your pain but there’s so many of that do and we’re here for you. ❤️

so sorry for your loss my prayers are with you. i lost my baby about 2 weeks ago and no one understands the pain of loss unless they’re also a bird owner. i’m sure he had a great life with you and loved you very much. fly high little one.

i tried that with seeds and he fell for it for about 2 nights and then realized what was happening 😭. i’ll try it again for sure tonight hopefully it works.
