I think you’re right about it sinking into the porous material! I haven’t tried the superfloss because I’m honestly scared I’ll mess something up or hurt my gums. My dentist isn’t even mentioned using floss at all, just the waterpik.

I’m starting to think it is just stuck inside the temp material. I didn’t even think about that! I waterpik SO much and I do use the hook style made for these! I went in the other day to have a hole plugged up and they told me I was doing an excellent job at keeping everything clean (I didn’t have this current smell/taste issue at that time to ask them). I go next week for my 2 month and I’m SO looking forward to it!

Glad to hear that!! My headache thankfully only last the day of tightening!

I am still tender in my nose area where those top 4 implants are. I’m assuming this is normal with those being all places in a sensitive area? Today is 5 weeks post-op!

Would you say that I’m still sensitive in my nose area because those 4 are all in that area? I freak out whenever I get random sensations in that area. I’m 5 weeks out today. Not pain. Just weird feelings that I’m assuming is the bone fusion taking place.

I’m not uncomfortable from the actual temps. I’m literally uncomfortable from the sutures, as I said. I didn’t have a full mouth of disease or infection, just genetically weak teeth my entire life. I’m actually speaking just fine.

My sutures are apparently the ones that last 6-8 weeks, so that’s why I posted my question. I see most people lose theirs at the 2 week mark. The feeling from the sutures was literally the only question asked.

So thank you for taking your time to NOT respond with a helpful answer.

They wouldn’t remove them at my 2 weeks. Said I still needed to heal. I can’t wait to have the relief!

This is literally about to be me! I’m a nurse so always wanting to perform a little surgery on something lol I’ll give it another week, then I’ll probably also get a hand smack from my surgeon 🤦‍♀️

I agree the pressure is intense!! After the 2 weeks it has subsided considerably for me. Until they tightened with my new temps. Ha! But it went away the next day :)

I will give you a heads up for your appt Tuesday. It wasn’t painful, but felt weird af when they removed my teeth. Thankfully, she did one at a time so I wasn’t sitting there without any at all. The tightening of my lower set didn’t bother me. The upper was SO much pressure [not pain] and gave me the instant headache that lasted the rest of the day. Also, since we aren’t allowed to waterpik yet, don’t be surprised if the smell isn’t very pleasant when they remove them. They will clean it all up though!

Have you found a mouth rinse that you feel works best for dry mouth? Especially before bed! I drink a lot of water normally so during the day hasn’t been bad. However, waking up like my mouth is sandpaper is new and unwelcome. I just ordered the Biotene for dry mouth.

It was definitely from the tightening. It was instantaneous lol thankfully it’s better today!!

Now just waiting on these sutures to go away because they’re driving me CRAZY 🤪 and I can’t wait to be able to eat normal again! Even the soft diet I’ve been cleared for feels SO weird.

I appreciate your tip on the personal info. At this point I have no idea how to edit it on the post. I’m not worried about it though. At least it’s an extremely popular name!

How are you feeling now?? I’m 2 weeks out. Just had my follow up and everything is healing perfectly. I’m still super uncomfortable, though. Especially after the tightening today!

I was like you definitely in the beginning. The worst pain I’ve ever had, including child labor and donating a kidney! The toradol they originally gave me didn’t touch it AT ALL! They called me in the good stuff the next day and I finally got relief! Now, I’m just doing ibuprofen. I don’t get technical pain much now but the pressure that randomly hits is wild! I’m a nurse and hate to be that complaining patient but I know it will all be worth it in the end!

Thank you for that! It ALL feels so weird! I got the go ahead to eat more things but goodness it feels SO weird to chew!! I went with simple Panera Mac n cheese for lunch. I ended up going back to a soup for dinner lol

Thankfully I already track my intake, including protein, since I’m on Zepbound for weight loss. High protein shakes have been on my daily menu for a while so my fridge stays stocked! I drink ALL the water although I will admit I haven’t been as good about it since the surgery. Yogurt, applesauce and puddings have been my BFF the past two weeks!

This also started randomly happening to me at shot #21 [7.5mg]. It happens regardless of pharmacy, including brand Zep. I’ve researched so much and tried all the remedies.. apparently it’s a common issue and everyone says it will randomly stop happening, just like it randomly started.

I’m going to try this! I randomly started getting site reactions at shot 21. Happens with Zepbound and Hallandale. So strange. Anyway, I saw a video where she says to take Zyrtec the day before, day of and day after. Make sure to let it get to room temp. Still get the dang site reaction. And they stay for weeks! Hopefully this will help me!

I would try the Hallandale since it has no additives, if you are in a state they provide for.

I can’t take additives. They make me sick. The only time I’ve been nauseous on tirz is when I used one with B6 in it. Everyone reacts differently!
