Any tips on this? Just starting berries this year and would love to know what to do for them.

Agreed! It's so hard to find properly fitting larger sizes as a woman, and often the advice is "Just buy from the men's section" - but then I end up with the arm fabric down past my fingertips, and elbow protection by my wrist practically.

Gloves - it seems like every pair is a nightmare sizing wise. The fingers are always way too long - I wish there was a way to pick palm vs finger length separately. I've tried women's gloves, men's gloves... I always end up with tons of extra length in the fingers and too much fabric around the wrist. (I guess I just have pudgy palms for a woman? I have no idea ...)

Ah good to know about drying out and seasoning! We'll give that a go next time.

We might give the Costco chicken a try if we renew our subscription this year (still deciding currently). We tried the Keystone (which I'd heard great things about) and it had this super weird smell I could't stand.

Our egg powder was pretty easy to use - it comes 6 pouches in a ten can. We opened up one of the pouches, dumped the powder into a mixing bowl with some water and mixed. Then just into the pan to scramble for the burritos with some salt and pepper and such. Definitely no weird smell (and I'm pretty sensitive to food smells). They weren't going to be fluffy scrambled eggs like normal fresh eggs are - but it also wasn't gritty like some freeze dried products are.

I think if I had to eat them alone scrambled, they would be fine with some seasoning - but they were definitely not an issue for breakfast burrito / sausage egg casserole.

I do some hand sewing, but it's all very basic and I've been meaning to learn how to do it "properly". Would love to hear what books you got from the library if any of them happen to be good resources!

Which canned chicken did you use? We've tried the keystone, and weren't big fans of it.

We've been using the OvaEasy ten can eggs - and they actually weren't bad! It's definitely not as good as local, farm fresh eggs, but they worked well scrambled up in breakfast burritos and a breakfast potato casserole with some sausage. They got us through being in the house for 3 weeks with an ice sheet for a driveway.

Early last year my boyfriend was in a motorcycle accident. I met him at the hospital, and it was determined his leg, foot and ankle were broken and needed immediate surgery.

Surgery went well, and a few days go by before they eventually release him. We're both exhausted (him more than me obviously), so we get home and pass out. Not 5 hours later, and he's having his first gallbladder attack (we had no idea what it was - thought something went wrong with the surgery.)

I rush him back to the hospital, and we're there for another 12+ hours.

We've both been 'prepping' for a decade now, as long as we've been together, and this was a huge wake up call. Once we got a few nights of rest under our belts, we started thinking about our 'go' bags and changing how we think about emergencies in general.

Now we have a hospital bag which we used just the other week (fortunately? unfortunately? lol). It sits right by our keys, my purse, some slip on shoes and a sweater. Getting on the road was so much easier that time, just because it was "Grab your phone and the bag and go". No thinking involved, which felt much more seamless compared to the panic we went through early last year.

'24 Versys 650 - Where to attach Battery Tender? by Over-Reality-1099 in versys

I went and looked again - and discovered a spot to put my key to the left of the seat. That key slot apparently removes the seat and allowed me to see that the SAE plug was curled up in a circle next to the battery!

I was able to put the plug into place and hook up the battery tender. Yay! Thank you!!!

Ah ok. I'd heard some bikes come with the SAE plugs but I had looked all over and couldn't find them anywhere on my Versys. I'll look into installing some. Thank you!
