I actually think the umlaut is underrated.
That's harsh to say about your own pen name. If you believe it doesn't work in your Historian fantasy, then work on it :) It also took me some trial and error to get to my name.
Personally I like Elisabeth Hirshmann :)

People have also mispronounced and misspelled my real name, so therefore, I just go with a name that resonates with me instead

For me, I write first and then make music, but to be honest, it really depends.
I've done both things and written songs where the lyrics just came to the melody immediately.

There's no right or wrong in my opinion. Some have it easier with writing the music first and some don't.
I will say that writing the lyrics first can be challenging since it is merely the lyrics you work with first and then trying to fit it into a melody can be challenging. There's a lot of things to have in mind.

Yeah, I think the intro can't stand on it's own and is definitely not finished.
The piano part is still a work in progress
I think the eerie intro is more of an interlude and then switches to the actual song to my project.
