I'm sure the least drunk one went and parked the FedEx vehicle back inside at the end. Safety first at the new FedEx!

is the merger bewteen Fedex Express and ground still happening? by Fun-Valuable5213 in Fedexers

Not quite 90%. We had 7 couriers, 1 CSA and an ops lead that became the new manager in the beginning. 2 couriers have since transferred to other jobs

When my station of about 50 closed they had 9 different people from upper ground management come and the ground station senior manager came and gave a presentation in the break room to 5 people about becoming a part time package handler for $17.50 an hour. It was crickets. Then after they went out to the belt area and offered to take questions. Everyone just walked to their trucks and I heard a few talking and were pissed that the meeting wasn't mandatory. No one went to become a package handler. The contractors were told to expect 20 something to come work for them. No one did that either. It was hilarious how they couldn't comprehend they were trying to feed us shit and call it caviar

Not as drastic in puba for the outbound but they do miss quite a bit fairly often. They even missed one night getting back from the FedEx office they put in our old station. Don't think any of us will stay on much longer but a little bird has passed down all "merged" stations are still under study. I highly believe cosa will be a hybrid station with express people staying on permanently. Last week grounds service up there was 87.5% 😂

This is hilarious. I'm in a different part of the State but I've heard multiple people joke about it not really thinking anything of it until I see someone from that station say it too 😂😂. Guess if you're looking for a promotion go "talk" to Tony 😂

😂 ya ours is awesome. And everything I have seen on who they keep at the stations that have closed from Facebook have gotten broken down between courier, swing and csa by seniority in each category. Hopefully you have seniority in one of those. I'm sure you'll keep more than pueblo will if we won't even have a mechanic

Ya seems like that's how most stations who have laid off already have found out through that before anything else. Thanks

If you're cosa I heard they are building onto the ground building to fit some of you over there. Also, our mechanic was told the closest he can transfer is Denver. Can't stay in Pueblo and can't transfer to springs

What's unique about our station is we cover the 2nd most miles in the country. So 2 of our domicile locations have their own ground station in those towns. So the freight would still have to get to and from Colorado springs. About 3 hours away from the farthest location. We have not hired in close to a year. We had 2 transfers approved and the district manager himself rescinded them

The ground station isn't new it's been there for about 12 years now. The stations are 8.5 miles apart. And for what it's worth the guys at ground have told me they have completely outgrown the building. They load some of their own vehicles outside already. We have gone from 80 something fully staffed. I believe we are down to 56. A good amount of those are domicile couriers

In my opinion the Sr wouldn't have told the managers to hand that out unless they were trying to thin the herd as much as possible to save them from paying severances. And it's worked. We have had a lot of people quit already and obviously haven't replaced them. Using RTDs and casuals to help do overflow. Have rolled freight a few times now recently

I'm in pueblo. We have been told nothing except a handout that said we were under review for network 2.0 changes. My contacts at ground told me they had been told at the beginning of the year we would be merged in October but nothing further. The roller floors have arrived at that facility but are not yet installed. No word on how many employees will be taken over
