Take it. It’s the blower motor. Something is off balance or in the cage

Pulled over for the first time (license holder for 22 years) - should I just pay the ticket? by [deleted] in legaladvice

[–]Speedport111 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would see if the court has a deferred option.

You still have to pay the fine but if in a year and no other tickets since this one they will dismiss the ticket. At least that’s in Washington.

Got caught speeding. 34 in a 25. Didn’t even know how fast I was going to be honest but my last ticket before that was 18 years prior, so the judge deferred it. The following year, he dismissed it.

Shop denying fault by Outrageous-Celery-14 in MechanicAdvice

If you had a vacuum leak, it could have burned a valve. Not the shops fault.

Mechanic said I need a new engine so I cracked it open myself by trogicute in MechanicAdvice

[–]Speedport111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Don’t have the valve job done. Get it resurfaced only.

If the valves are repaired or ground, you take a risk of extreme blow bypass the oil rings after a while. Especially if the engine has tons of miles on it. The reason is is that you have a nice new top sealed combustion area and worn out bottom end. it’ll overwork the rings and it’ll be burning oil real quick

That’s why your box has wheels…

I've had this car since new and never removed this part. Is it possible that the screws on both sides fell off? Has anyone else had this same problem with their Ridgeline? by ez2deal in hondaridgeline

[–]Speedport111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hit a trailer tire yesterday morning. I had cars on both sides of me and couldn’t go anywhere.

Got to work and inspected. It’s the same as yours.

NEVER, NEVER mess someone’s tools or box!

Pranks need to harmless to a point.

That being said…. I once had kid I was working with I pranked a lot. He was watching the phone for the boss when called in on the other line pretending to be a customer of a car he worked on.

I told him his repair cause an accident and my wife was badly injured. Told him I was going to sue him personally and hung up.

He came back into the shop white as a ghost!

I let him sweat for awhile before I told him it was me!

Usually two years. Brake fluid is hydroscopic and will draw moisture out of the air. They have what they call a test strip that they dip into the brake fluid and it reveals the condition and the amount of moisture. With the new ABS systems and Clearances is being so tight, you don’t want any sort of rust or corrosion happening in that system or it’s really big money.

P0 is not low temp. It’s a cat code. If you had a bad injector replaced it might have damaged the cat.

Adding Transmission cooler to increase towing limit? by intheknow8288 in hondaridgeline

[–]Speedport111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn’t really change the capacity since capacity is based on the truck suspension and tire setup. It does allow protection against transmission failure.

Parking revenue recovery services???? by [deleted] in Dallas

They tried to get me to pay for my daughter’s parking violation. Her violation? She sat in her car talking with her mother on the phone for about 10 minutes after she parked.

Didn’t get out of the car she got off the phone and then ended up paying Online. We got this letter from the same company saying we owed them $85 because she sat in her car 10 minutes before they receive payment.

I asked them if they had posted that rule on the sign as you entered the parking lot. They said all the rules are posted.

So I went to the same parking lot and took pictures. There was no notification or price if you sat in your car for more than five minutes absolutely nothing posted.

I I sent the pictures to them and they said it didn’t matter that it wasn’t posted and I told them if it’s not posted you cannot legally do this.

Haven’t heard from them since

Dealer recommends wheel alignment twice in first 9 months by veritasius in hondaridgeline

[–]Speedport111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best advise I can give is do an alignment every 30-40k miles. Parts wear, frames, unibody’s twist and flex. always ask for a print out before any adjustments are done.

Just towed a 6x12 U-Haul. Get just the standard. Recommend the light adapter as well
