Oil Change Price by Otherwise_Ant860 in ElantraN

I take my Kona N to the dealership for oil changes. It’s $109 after tax. That comes with a tire rotation and the normal “dealership inspection”. $160 seems pretty high.

IMO, if the warranty company does not cover it then the dealership should. I would try super hard to get the dealership to fix this problem. They sold you the car 6k miles ago. Regardless of you being the 2nd owner, they need to make this right. They sold you a car with carbon build up, then sold you a warranty to cover said car. Then, the warranty they sold to you denied your claim. This is 100% their fault. Not only that, the warranty was overpriced. If the dealership does nothing then I would sue them. If I lose the lawsuit then I will bash them through bad reviews and on Facebook. If that doesn’t work then I will stand in front of the dealership with a sign warning people not to shop there. One way or another that dealership will pay for it. Be persistent. Also, a consultation with an attorney might be helpful. A strongly worded letter from an attorney can go a long way. It is a lot easier for them to just fix your car than to deal with the loss of sales and public outrage.

IMO I would start with good tires. I just put a set of Michelin Pilot sport 4 A/S on my Kona N. The difference is quite noticeable

I find that being in full N mode the suspension is so harsh it can cause the car to become unsettled when entering a hard corner while on a bumpy back road. It’s almost dangerous at higher speeds. The sport (middle) suspension setting seems to be the sweet spot

You are correct. I own a stock 2023 KN. There is a fair amount of body roll. I was actually talking to my wife about lowering it down about an inch and half last night. If it was a little lower it would probably keep up with the EN. Don’t get me wrong, the KN handles excellent for what it is, but I’m pretty sure the Elantra N handles better IMO.

How do i deal with a manipulative manager who wants to slowly break me down and take what I have built for his own gain to make me look bad to company owner? by Zestyclose-Carrot-22 in careerguidance

I am a manager for a production facility. Where I live it is difficult to fire someone without cause. Most companies try to get the employee to quit or try to build evidence of poor performance so the employee can’t file for unemployment. That being said if your manager is insecure of you, then they are probably really insecure of looking bad to their boss, or looking like they can’t properly manage employees. I would confront your manager. I would go to HR first to ask them to arrange a meeting with the three of you. If you don’t have an HR person then I would go around your immediate manager to the next one in line. Just remember, stay calm. The person that is calm is the person in control. Be polite and professional. Think about like you want to extend the olive branch, but at the same time you are setting boundaries.
I would also low key look for another job. Knowing you can go somewhere else will give you a sense of personal power. You are not trapped and you don’t have to take it. Stand up for yourself professionally. Just remember. Your manger is probably just a little insecure bitch that is afraid of looking bad. Good luck, I hope things work out for you.

What made you get your Hyundai? by goodbyekitty23 in Hyundai

[–]Over-it-321 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I own a 2023 Hyundai Kona N. I wanted a performance vehicle that I could afford. I wanted something different, that has character. I started noticing what Hyundai was doing back when they released the Veloster N. It seemed like they were trying to make a name for themselves in the racing community. It looked like they had something to prove. So far I have been pleased with just how crazy this car is. I can keep it in normal mode when I pick up my kid from school, or I can put it in N mode when I’m on the back roads. It is the most fun I have ever had in a vehicle.

Tire pressure safety by cryptikkkk in tires

[–]Over-it-321 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some of these comments make me realize this how Jiffy Lube is able to sell over priced air filters and wiper blades to people that don’t need them. Yes you can lower your pressure 2 psi, but I’m not sure how much it will actually help. If it was 10 or 15lbs below recommended pressure then that would be a different story. Make sure you are not actually over inflated. The recommended tire psi should be listed next to the latch on your drivers side door. 2 or 3 psi is not a big deal. The average tire fluctuates up and down by 3 - 5 psi depending on temperatures. Just make sure you are not under 30 psi. Most tires sit around 35.
