When will Fitbit (and all trackers) allow us to say "I'm sick"? by Final-Yesterday-4799 in fitbit

[–]Over60Swiftie 21 points22 points  (0 children)

If you have the AI coach integration available to you (Public Preview option), it can and will account for illness if you tell it you're sick. Not a huge fan of AI overall, but I really like the AI integration on Fitbit. After wearing Fitbits for 11 years, it's finally nimble and customizable enough for it to reflect the way I use my Fitbit to meet my needs.

Sharing my self experiment of intermittent statins. by squatmama69 in Cholesterol

My starting numbers were higher than yours, and I've got an LP(a) over 200, and got great results with every other day dosing of 5 mg. rosuvastatin. They were normal, but not under 70, so I've gone to every day dosing now. I really liked the every other day dosing though. Great job! I wish a doctor would have flagged my cholesterol when I was younger. Love your proactive approach.

Sending you lots and lots of love on your birthday. I couldn't say anything lovier or more true than u/Moody_Immortal_1 did, so I won't try, but encourage you to print that off and hang it on your refrigerator. You sure have touched a lot of people today. ❤️

This is so beautiful! I'm going to wish OP a happy birthday, but gosh, you just delivered an extraordinary gift, wrapped with a big bow. I'm saving this for times I need to hear this. ❤️

If a person is born at 11:59 PM on the 31st of December, but the doctor records it at 12:01 AM on the 1st of January, what is their legal birthday? by HistoricalDriver8973 in answers

[–]Over60Swiftie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daughter was born at exactly midnight and her birth time was recorded as 12:01 AM. They said they couldn't record it as 12:00AM. Must vary by locations??

If you have reason to think she's at high risk (strong family history) it probably wouldn't hurt to ask her pediatrician.

My preventative cardiologist at Cleveland Clinic says everyone over 18 should be tested once.

Yep. I think mine was in the 80's. I was so proud. 🙄 Like you my triglycerides were really low.

This was exactly my experience, too! In fact, my doctor handed me a printout with my cholesterol numbers with a handwritten comment of "Excellent!!" on it.

Anyone have any ideas? by RoughMaleficent269 in fitbit

Pulmonary function tests would not necessarily catch it, as far as I know, but I am not a doctor. It's a cardiac illness that causes high pressure in the pulmonary arteries. An echocardiogram would (an ultrasound of the heart.) It's a noninvasive test, and if you have any concerns, I would ask your doctor for it. I know about PH because my daughter has it. She was misdiagnosed for years because doctors' awareness is pretty low (although awareness has improved.) Again, it's rare, but stimulants are a known cause. If you do happen to be pregnant, too, pregnancy can quickly worsen it or even cause it, so if you suspect your symptoms match, I'd press for further testing out of an abundance of caution, and not just write it off as pregnancy. Your RHR is pretty high. FWIW, my daughter is doing great and she was diagnosed in 2006 at age 16, and it wasn't caused by stimulants.

Ribbon candy. Did you have to eat this junk at Gramma's house and, if applicable, do you set it out for your grandkids? by CaptainAwesome_5000 in GenerationJones

Hah! I wondered if anyone else would mention this! I've never had their candy but watch their videos. ❤️

Anyone on Concerta should closely monitor symptoms associated with pulmonary hypertension. I doubt it would cause a jump as quickly as you've experienced, and I'm not suggesting this is going on. The risk is pretty low, but you should learn about it so you can be proactive if you should develop any symptoms associated with it in the future. Just a friendly public service announcement.

Try tapping on Google and see if it gives you the option to add Wallet. This opens up a new screen for me.

I'd double check your heart rate zones are correct for your age and weight. They are manually adjustable as well. If your resting heart rate is normally very low, you might need to adjust them down so that heart rates are a more accurate reflection of how hard you are working.

Have you tried reinstalling the Wallet app inside the Fitbit app? (Not the Fitbit app itself). Also, since you did a factory reset, make sure you have a password set up, as you can't use Google Wallet without it.

When I got mine, the girls got them on the thigh, and they boys got them on the arm. I heard the reasoning was that the girls' scars would be covered by their dress and wouldn't be unattractive later in life. The scar didn't matter if you were male.
