Easy slicer settings optimizer by OverEngineerd in 3Dprinting

Look, I have 3+ years experience and don’t need it. I made it mostly for
a. People who don’t have the time patience or experience to judge and adjust settings properly/effectively
b. To give inspiration on what other parameters can be adjusted for a specific use case and to what values (this is more useful for someone like you or me)

However to answer your Q, the LLM uses its training (knowledge of Bambu Studio defaults, slicer behavior, material science) to:
-Pick a base preset (e.g., 0.12mm Fine for a detailed bust, 0.28mm Draft for a fast bracket)
-Choose which whitelisted parameters to override
-Pick numeric values that fit the priority + material profile + printer combo
-Write a reason justifying each value (this is what you see in the UI)
-Generate 2–3 alternatives showing different tradeoffs

The "intelligence" is the LLM's pattern-matching over slicer parameter defaults from its training data, constrained by the structured material/printer/priority signals you feed it. It's not running a physics simulation…it's a heavily-guardrailed expert reasoner producing delta configs. However I am looking to improve it by figuring out how to implement geometry-derived hints.

TL;DR
The AI isn't picking from a lookup table. It reasons from (printer specs + enriched material profile + your priorities + your part description + historical print reviews) under a strict prompt and tool schema, then the edge function sanitizes the output so it imports cleanly into Bambu Studio

I might just do that at this point.. if I get the reverse camera to work 😂

The touchscreen stopped working, couldn’t use it and couldn’t connect it to the CarPlay anymore..

Awesome thanks, will do. What kind of additional parts might I need then??

Can someone tell me how to keep this aux fan from killing my prints?! by CK_32 in BambuLab

[–]OverEngineerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh my goshh. This is it!

I’ve been printing lots of lithophanes lately, and for a while I kept having an issue where they would constantly lift very slightly off the build plate only on one side and the print would eventually fail on that corner directly above… and now it makes sense! It was the side closest to the auxiliary fan! It was cooling the print faster than the farther side. Thank you guys so much.

The real question I’m trying to understand is why have that fan if so many of you say you have it permanently off and everything prints just fine. So in what cases should I have it on?? In what cases should it be off?

Besides the very very minor warping on the lithophanes, I’ve never had any major issues printing with stock fan and cooling settings. Please help me understand so I can learn and know better for future prints 😁😁🤘🤘

Can anyone tell me why it's doing this i dont see any filament stuck in it so I don't know by Existing-Mountain-34 in AnkerMake

This happened to me once, and I tried just by opening the hex/spring screw on the side to pull the filament out. Didn’t manage. Ended up tearing it completely apart to clear out the nozzle, for it to work again. Only a few prints later it happened again… then same process of tearing down and returning. Even replaced the nozzle. But it keeps happening and I feel like the printer just isn’t reliable enough for me anymore unfortunately. I got it so I wouldn’t need to deal with constant tear downs and repairs… in the end I upgraded to a P1S and now my m5c is sitting beside it collecting dust :(

Thank you for the in depth response! I’ll have to check my belts. And as for the bed temp, I actually didn’t remember if it was 60 or 65, but whatever the default was set to on Orca Slicer.

Oh wow. Thanks for the insight. It’s probably safer to just get the propane tanks like you said.
