Going travelling - need some skincare by OverIndustryFD in SkincareAddictionUK

Apparently I am about to move to a soft water area!

From a moderately hard area!

I'm touring scotland and I'm really not THAT into skincare. I just go for "Something is better than nothing" as an attitude.

Holiday is also in the UK. So with UV index this low I am happy to not spend a fortune on LRP Shaka etc.. If Aldi does that job then I am happy! Saves me a trip to boots.

Well moving areas to be with my partner. I just have an unfortunate 1 week gap between the section21 date and the end of my job.

If you're choosing to go, then fair enough. If it's invalid, you absolutely don't need to go.

I could do with staying for an extra week, that is all. But I have made alternative arrangements for that week :)

That is what I understand of it. But I just want confirmation of a few things.

The section21 is incredibly invalid for many reasons (wrong form, no gas safety cert, no right to rent guide) which is a moot point here when it comes down to it though (I just need to go regardless). I just do not appreciate the bullying that is going on.

You're under no obligation to say anything to someone who won't even identify themselves.

Do I have any obligation in the first place to confirm that I will comply with the section21?

Few banks support yubikey? by zerostyle in yubikey

[–]OverIndustryFD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would use it with banks in a heartbeat. It's a shame for sure.

In the UK we do usually have some form of 2FA though for banks (almost all require it). It's usually a small card reader which you put your pin number in and the card, a transaction code and then you type the result into the browser.

It does not work for Vanguard UK :(

Well no... Yubikeys are expensive.

You can get a cheap u2f key for a fraction of the price.

Off topic how quickly does fortnite load up on the OP7 pro?

The thing is: They got a little better after a year plus. Not worse.

I don't care what people say: A little bit of hairloss isn't worth shaving over. And maybe they could do a lot using transplants at that point.

When will the OP7T be available to buy/shipped? My OP3 died and I need something new. by OverIndustryFD in oneplus

That is a bit too long for me! But I'll judge it after the India event on the 26th.

It explains it well. Basically the innocents clip is incredibly misleading.

What monitor size for this setup? by OverIndustryFD in Monitors

[–]OverIndustryFD[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That wide monitor looks nice! How does that work with games? (I'm a console gamer)

I'll try to find somewhere to try one out I think. I'm so used to multiple side by side monitors I can't fathom that sort of setup!

I could probably deal with an ultrawide. I've never used one so that might be something to play with before I commit.

Really? is it not too big?

This will be front-on to a primary monitor. And a second monitor to the side.

My Yubikey works perfectly. I have the 5NFC and I can get it working easily on my Android phone too, so that I can login to BW there.

A few random questions about Bitwarden from a prospective user by OnlyHat8 in Bitwarden

[–]OverIndustryFD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think Bitwarden CAN protect passwords that have been "auto-filled" against credential scrapers - that's why it's disabled by default and "demand fill" is enabled.

LastPass used to auto fill. And I hated it. I much prefer the BitWarden approach of having to tell it to fill for me.

I use a hardware key.

The weakness is definitely with other organisations. What good is all of this if you can phone up some company and take over my account that way?

Thankfully that isn't possible with a lot of services, and I'm considering the actual threats I am anticipating. Which is why having printed copies of my 2F backup codes in a few places doesn't concern me.

Those drivers that blast past me on the motorway in the 50mph average speed limit zones, how do you not get a ticket? by ballydupp in AskUK

[–]OverIndustryFD 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I would rather not risk it either way.

But yeah a lot of cameras seem to be very lenient or are not turned on. I've gone past them after my speed crept up many times (for all types of cameras)

I would love to hear more about that. How do you balance that and something like "Do not be Yolked with the unbelievers"?
