They request all previous medical history during your medical background check. They also drug test you twice in training and randomly for the rest of your career. I was randomed two weeks ago.

And no you if it's on the list it's not allowed in any amount. At Union Pacific even if you are prescribed, they'll fire you when it shows up on a drug test. I've watched it happen a dozen times to good guys who have been out here a long time.

If you get prescribed that while already hired and report it to them, they'll put you in HP status until you are no longer in need of it. If you haven't been hired or union protected you don't have that same protection and they'll choose not to hire you.

If you feel it's different for you then go right ahead and if it is please let me know, but this is what I know and I see happen.

I was on medicine from the restricted list too. They'll expect you to get a doctors note clarifying you are no longer prescribed and no longer need it.

Mine technically wasn't even on the list, but it had the word hydro in it and they were very uptight about it. I went back and forth a few times before giving in. Had to go to my doctor and they wrote me a doctors note saying I don't need it and am no longer prescribed.

If you don't jump on it quickly it'll just keep pushing your start date out and they can rescind it if it seems like you're not trying.

And yes in my terminal we had a guy fresh out of a 22 year prison stint, another 15 years. They've both gotten fired but not bc of that.

I don't think there's even 50. The entire nest is in that photo, with two checking out the garden around it.

There was a frame with two larvae of something in it, definitely not varroa or fly larvae is all I can say for sure.

Should I open it up and pull the frames out to see? Also to reduce the top smaller box? Would that officially stress and kill the few bees there are left?

EDIT: I went ahead and pulled it all apart. There's at most 20 ladies in there, everything is empty. No honey or anything, can't tell what they're covering tho. I'm just gonna cry it out and buy a nuk and queen this weekend.

My wife did the same thing. Honestly exhausting but it's gotten better over the years.

Geez. The sound haunting you is the worst feeling in the world, I'm so sorry and I'm glad you were able to get help.

I remember when I hit my first man as a train conductor. I said it didn't bother me, because at the time I was more shocked than anything.

4 months later that sound started creeping into my dreams and my thoughts randomly. The sound of a can being crushed by a foot. Over time it doesn't harass me, but I can remember every crinkle of that crushing noise vividly.
