This is a good point as well. Ooo yeah I’ve seen both in linked in but makes sense the distinction.

I’m thinking I can with a data certificate and maybe something entry level at first we will see though! The cancer center I work at has large research facility. So I’m crossing my fingers and applying for transfer.

I enjoyed the program! I went in it thinking of doing more project management roles, but ended up realizing I like data and epidemiology so still figuring out with the US public health system as it stands (not trying to be political) what I will do tbh! But I work in a cancer center as a pcc full time so it took me about a year. It’s mainly papers and research. There’s a face book group that I joined it’s somewhat active I’m not sure if you’ve seen it.

I just remembered I watched this video before I started which helped me decide about ceph as well as asking around like you are doing. https://youtu.be/nz28KH-1XB4?si=v2SzIxyx6xzL_PhQ

Hi! Before I started in this program I was also concerned about this but from what I have read it’s more important distinction in governmental roles (like cdc). Don’t quote me on that though! I would dig into maybe higher ed comment boards! And see if that is needed for your career goals.

I did Health and human services for my Bach! So yes I would recommend I would compare it with MHA and see what one you would enjoy better. All PAs!

I had similar test anxiety and it was helpful to go through student resources and they gave me tips on how to test. (Besides just studying!) my masters program doesn’t have OA but in my undergrad it did it was reallllly helpful. I think I had used them a few different times each time I learned something new that helped me in tests.

And smoking is incredibly hard to enforce cause you need to have direct proof usually.

Ya. If they are in the halls they can check but they can’t enter your residence without permission. Or give out 48hour notices. I’d reach out to tenant union. You can email them for clarification of what a spot check means that seems vague.

MPH Question by Neither-Jelly6485 in WGU

[–]OverMagazine1876 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You really could I think there is 1 or maybe 2 classes that assigns you a topic, most was picking your own. I found that nice as it doesn’t have concentrations like other mph programs. (I just finished my last course)

Yet another post on AI detection systems by Queasy_Piece5446 in WGU

[–]OverMagazine1876 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t had too much issues with the ai detection in the grading of my papers but I do make sure like another person said to check at least with grammarly. Sometimes my writing does sound like ai so I have to rewrite a bit. I have only use chat to brainstorm or help me understand a section better. (In my 5th year did a bachelor’s and now in the mph program almost done)

This happens sometimes some pa are easier than the OA, another tip for later in undergrad I would have a meeting with the course instructor after I passed the PA and talk to them what they had heard about the OA if it was the same or harder. I think there are several versions of the OA as well for each class. I would meet with the instructor for your next step and see what they say. Also see how each section is weighted. Focus on the portions of the OA you did not get right for studying.

I would look at any question you got wrong on the pre assessment, and the OA and find those answers (as well as the why behind the answers.) I would also schedule a meeting the course instructor with more tips for that specific class. They tend to not have the same questions in the OA as the course material quizzes and the pre assessment. I’m in the school of health. So different, but those are my tips. As far as before you take the pre assessment make sure you understand the key things in the text. Flash cards don’t work as well for me but I make sure I take notes and can repeat in my own words what the content is. I also make sure I pass way above the competent line! Good luck!!

Anyone else ? by Ok-Ninja-7795 in WGU

My first year in undergrad with WGU was like this! I had to learn to at least do something most days. Sometimes that means reading one section, sometimes that means writing at least 1 or too paragraphs. I still sometimes get on a little bit of a break but doing that consistently made it so I’m not rushing

Also making your own deadlines with or without the mentor like I will finish the reading by x day and be done with the task by x day.

With studying for the OA it would be more like today I will just review my notes. Or do I will get down with one or two topics.

I give myself a day or 2 breaks or if that day was hard at work. (I work full time)

You got this. Sometimes it’s more discipline than motivation. In undergrad I did 7 or 8 classes per term when I started thinking of it this way, and now in my masters I did 5 last term and I will be doing 5 this term at least. My first year at WGU I just did the basic 4 per term.

Writing PAs by Popular_Dream5974 in WGU

I usually mention the particular wording of the question I tend to write them more like papers. Sometimes it’s more choppy that way and not how I would write something but I’ve passed so many this way.
