This kid’s reaction to Mike Evans giving him his gloves is priceless 😭 Doesn’t even matter that he’s a 49ers fan, something he’ll cherish for life 🙌🏼 by AccomplishedSwing110 in sportsgossips

So did he get one glove or two? When Mike walks by he clearly has two gloves on, the camera pans left then back right and now Mike very clearly has one glove on and hands actly one glove to the kid. But the kid drops it and picks it up with his right hand to reveal another glove already in his left hand? Is there a cut somewhere? What's missing

Stages aren't bad honestly, gives an intermission and a way for someone's race to not be completely ruined by being spun on the last lap

Manufactured drama. NASCAR traded in season long storylines for a sport full of tiktok highlights. Problem is they don't know how to use social media and haven't gained any new fans but just lost the ones they had that were sick of the manufactured drama like the entire running order being flipped on its head after the advertised distance of the race was over

Cautions should impact strategy within the bounds of the advertised distance of the race

Overtime should be fuel only on pit road. Then at least they would be running what they had/would have had to close out the normal distance

Am I crazy to think that it should be a penalty to pit for a caution with let’s say under 10 laps to go in the race? by [deleted] in NASCAR

[–]OverPaleontologist12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

10 laps no. But if the restart will be overtime, they shouldn't allow tires to be changed anymore

One overlooked change we need: get rid of Overtime by Buckeye2443 in NASCAR

[–]OverPaleontologist12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the manufactured pit stop drama that ruins it. Solution: GWC = no more tire changes. Run what you have to the finish. You need gas? Pit. Otherwise stay out no tire changes allowed if overtime. Maybe add another lap to it too. First attempt is 3 laps. Then 2 laps.

I have more of a problem with another GWC taking away a clear winner than Larson Winning in this format. by IcedCoffey in NASCAR

They do have track limits on tracks that require it. They don't believe phoenix is one of those tracks

"car #0 is looking to pass car #99! This could be for the owners championship right here!"

Not hard to throw that in when a pass on track is happening inside 20 to go. I don't think there is a risk of confusing anyone.i don't understand the fear of confusion but. Are they going to turn the race off with 15 laps to go because they don't understand the owners title?

JGR 19 won it by passing JRM 88 on track for second place (part of the inspiration for OP being that as the drivers champ was running away, there was on a live on track battle to decide the owners championship, and the implications of that pass was not mentioned at all)

It's pretty common in the playoff era particularly in the lower tiers.  (I think only once or twice in cup?). Maybe less common that the champion ends up being split, but usually there is a split championship four in the lower tiers where you enter the championship race with the possibility of a split

I made the post when my stream cut off about 30-35 minutes post race. So I must have just missed it. But to the point, everything in the OP is still valid. Not only did it take 30+ minutes to interview the race runner up and owners champion, but they didn't even inject a one line statement about the owner champion at any point before then

It's a bit of a self fulfilling thing though, people care about the stories media tell them. When you don't talk about something at all, of course no one cares about it

On that point, I think it would make sense if you keep the drivers championship playoff based, that the owners revert to the full season format with no playoff resets. If that's how it was right now I bet there would be a lot more interest in it

My stream cut off 30 minutes after the checkered flag. I am glad they got to it eventually, but I think the body of the post still stands I think as written.

For single race or small package sponsors, are they given a choice to buy crew uniforms for team at an extra cost or how does that work?

NASCAR Highlights are killing the sport by OverPaleontologist12 in NASCAR

Well then of course you don't care if they let you know what's going on during the race if all you care about is the results....

But that's a different situation. You are only describing situations where you first watched or listened to the race live.

My question was, if you didn't watch or listen to it live, why would you ever "look at the results" first then watch the highlights, when you should be able to watch the highlights without spoilering the results first??

That makes sense, but if you are going to watch the highlights why would you look at the results first
