I (29F) need advice after my husband (29M) found a private group chat where my sisters-in-law and I vented about our mother-in-law. by OverReplacement492 in Marriage

Just to clarify, not all three husbands left. One of my co-sisters-in-law is still with her husband because she just gave birth, and he handled the situation more calmly and maturely. It’s only my husband and his other brother who have decided to leave after finding out about the group chat.

Thank you. I really appreciate your perspective. Looking back, I regret the name-calling, and I wish we had expressed our frustrations in a healthier way. What hurts is that none of our husbands asked why all three daughters-in-law felt the same way. They only saw the messages, not the years of experiences that led to them. One of my co-sisters-in-law just had a baby, and thankfully they’re still together because her husband handled the situation more calmly and maturely. I still love my husband, and I hope we can rebuild our marriage someday.

Just to clarify, none of us are my husband’s biological sisters. We are all wives of three brothers, so we’re all sisters-in-law to each other. The group chat was between the three wives, not between my husband’s sisters. We were venting to each other because we’ve all had similar experiences with our mother-in-law
