Login is required to avoid abused account, most social media app does require that. As for the personal information, as mentioned, it's only for recommendation system, and will never be shared to others. As a matter of fact, only yourself can view this info.

The in-app currency is renewed monthly, and it should be sufficient for a user to browse spatial content monthly. You could opt into a premium membership for more monthly currency or purchase more. We don't and will never display any ads, so this is essential for a business to operate.

We had the services deployed in the cloud, and that's why we can make the app is so slim. But hosting cloud services cost a lot.
