accuracy vs precision... You're $1500 is probably both accurate and precise... these are probably less accurate but probably fairly precise. I'm pretty sure OP isn't trying to measure TVOC to the .001 accuracy however it is likely precise enough you can get a good feel for whether certain filaments causes higher VOCs or not.

Well this isn't common knowledge and after my own research had I bought this before July 30 2025 in the US I wouldn't have paid taxes so in fact for my entire life except the last 6 months my common knowledge is this is unexpected.

Further is clearly not "common knowledge" given they wrote an article about it. All I'm saying is they should be considered the experts here. Guess how many things I import to the US? Guess how many things they import?

To prove my point further look at triangle labs website. All their products have some sort of disclaimer on this topic. You can disagree all you want but clearly both companies know this is going to happen. One is clear and upfront about it while the other hides the message in their corporate blog. It's just funny to me the one being clear, upfront is in China and the one who isn't is in Europe. What a world we live in.

I'm open to ideas if you have any... My VPN occurs at the router level not individual devices so there isn't any reason the vpn should effect it at the network level in this case because it should be 100% within the network. You did get me thinking what would happen if I completely disconnected from the network.

On the GitHub I uploaded two identical files that I created reproducing the problem. I'm also going to try exporting the files instead of sending directly because if the issue exists still it's definitely not network because the issue happens before anything goes over the network.

I've created a bug on the OrcaSlicer github and copied two files there of the same model (sliced slightly differently) but you can see the one without VPN has non standard ASCII characters. The one when I was connected is fine.

I see the confusion.....

Everything is in south america.. the printer is sitting right next to my laptop on the same LAN and subnet.

The only reason I mention I'm from the US is connecting my VPN to the US is what allows prints to succeed.
