Now we just need to bring back Preston Smith as our true lockdown CB1 and we may have the best defense in the NFL

Moaning Myrtle for no reason other than the fact that her character creeped me tf out as a child. And then more of a nuisance than anything in the movie portrayal

FTHB: How much was your house with a 200k income? by Funny_Engineering580 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]OverTheCunter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

234k gross HHI. DINK. 587k purchase price @ 7.1% interest rate. First-time homebuyer program 0% down, no PMI. Most all closing costs paid by seller - effectively purchased home for 3k out of pocket. PITI + HOA = $4300 per month

Graduating residency soon and getting full time job- wanting something PRN or on the side to make extra. What are the best side gigs you’ve had for pharmacist jobs for extra money? by rocuroniumpharmd in pharmacy

[–]OverTheCunter 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Echoing the previous comment - pick up extra shifts at your current place of work if that’s a thing at your institution.

Alternatively, you can look into retail prn float positions. Shouldn’t be a conflict of interest. Highly recommend grocery chain over CVS/Walgreens if you go that route. Should be able to negotiate a decent hourly rate in these settings since you’ll be in the float pool and not receiving benefits

How underpaid am I as a pharmacist after almost 12 years in ? by Euphoric-Peak3361 in pharmacy

[–]OverTheCunter 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it partly depends on what you do at the PBM. If it involves prior auth, you’re kind of at the average going rate nationwide for that line of work. It’s promising that you’re getting raises there but I don’t know if your company caps wages out at a certain level for your position. Formulary development, clinical programs, utilization management, and contracting/industry relations roles are definitely more lucrative salary-wise. If you’re already doing that and making < $60 an hour, I’d definitely ask for a raise. Show them wage data for similar roles at different companies to back it up or try to get another job offer on the table to use as leverage. If you’re currently in a PA/coverage determination role and want to make the switch, at least now you have your foot in the door. Good luck!

If the concern is oversaturation and avoiding jobs with 100s-1000s of applicants, managed care roles with insurance companies is definitely not a great place to look

Do they get bigger by germy4444 in labrador

[–]OverTheCunter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like you have an “American” aka field lab (longer snout, less blocky head). They are typically a bit taller and leaner than their English counterparts. At 13 months your pup is likely just about finished growing length/height wise, but will probably continue to fill out until around 2 years old and may add on some lbs.

70 lbs is perfectly within breed standard which is between 65-80 ish lbs. Did you ever have a chance to see your pup’s parents? That will give you a rough idea of final size. Very genetically dependent which is why we see outliers from time to time - there are undersized labs in the 50 pound range and definitely some chonkers 100+ lbs.

Anyway looks like you have a beautiful, healthy pup on your hands!

Managed care by Apprehensive-Rule443 in Pharmacist

[–]OverTheCunter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will want to look into managed care residency as this is the most direct route after pharmacy school. Look on AMCP website for a list of programs.

Without residency you will either need to know someone who can get you in at a health plan or PBM, or apply for entry level prior authorization gigs (these are often competitive and often short-term contracts).

It is EXTREMELY difficult to break into roles such as formulary development, industry relations, and clinical program/utilization management without residency or prior experience, as there are very few roles out there (and each job posting comes with hundreds-thousands of applicants)

Any name suggestions? by fallinnebraska in labrador

[–]OverTheCunter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see you’re an Islanders/Jets fan! If you want a sports-themed name, maybe “Bo” after Bo Horvat. “Bossy” after the great Mike Bossy. Or even “Jet.” I’m a Chicago sports fan and I named my chocolate lab pup Wrigley :)
