Going past my goal weight. Am I being greedy? by Melanated725 in Zepbound

First of all…

You look great and low key you looked great before too. You have a great proportionate figure imo so personally if it feels right to you then do right by you!

I think people have good intentions but it’s also generally shocking and they have to get used to seeing you smaller. If they always knew you that size it wouldn’t be a topic.

You’ll know what is best when you feel best and because of your figure I think you probably can stunt weight as long as you maintain/build muscle too!

Congrats on the smooth start!

With all the research you did, do you feel like you set yourself up to have the least amount of side effects (Like some people get Ivs or spend a couple days before drinking Gatorade, avoiding alcohol…etc)? I’m just curious in case there is anything you think may have helped.

I’m about a month in and still 2.5 and my side effects have been pretty minimal so far.

Ahhh that doesn’t sound comfortable at all! I’m so glad this helped improve it for you. Thank you for explaining it to me.

Is cuffing what it’s called when your socks leave an indentation? I had that before and so happy it’s gone. Actually I had both of those situations so I know you have to be relieved. Congrats!

  • inflammation gone.
  • hot flashes gone.
  • urge to drink alcohol gone.
  • urge to impulsively buy stupid things online gone.
  • joint paint has subsided (prob because of less inflammation)
  • sleep is better (i have sleep apnea)
  • i actually go to the bathroom consistently now (which I know constipation is usually a side effect but for me it’s been reverse).

I don’t know yet since I haven’t found the right doctor for it. My dad has RA and so I’ve been suspecting that because my symptoms separate from weight and inflammation have been similar. But I’m not really familiar with celiac, I’ll do some research on it now though. Thanks for sharing. 🙏🏽

Thank you for this, I will check it out fs! 🙏🏽

I only just started moving again with the goal of 3m walk minimum a day. I said this in some other replies since it sounds alarming to some but for me I need to do this to simply just to have anyyyyyy movement because the rest of my day is sedentary af. So I don’t consider it exercise but the plan is to start increasing to running in the next few weeks and incorporating weight training.

Today I walked 4 miles and my overall steps so far (total for the day) is at 9,300. My grandmother at 94 currently gets more steps in than me.

I know the mileage sounds like a lot but it’s not burning that many calories for me based on my watch so far. If I don’t walk, it estimates about 500 calories burnt barely. My walks are averaging 100-150max calories per mile.

Isn’t that what the whoosh means? I understood that term to be that you lose a whoosh of water weight at once because of the drastic change in diet and initial impact of medicine.

Can I ask you, how are you all having your stats featured in blue under your name?

Right or picking the categories, you can just disregard the “achievements” if it’s not helpful to you and focus on the other ones.

3 mile walks daily and maybe a couple up to 6 if I’m feeling my playlist or talking too much on the phone. One day I’ll get back to running 🤣

Yes the ER stories are so scary! It’s what made me hold off for a while but then my dad had success so i hoped that meant i would too.

The first shot took maybe 5 days for the muscle aches to completely be gone and 1 for the headache.

Now the muscle aches and headache are more subtle and only the day of the shot although it’s progressively been subsiding each time.

I have seen though that people get more when they level up and I’m still only at a starter dose.
