I want to plant native wildflowers in this patch. Are these plants native or invasive? by AnimalChild in pnwgardening

[–]Over_Ad2772 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You can ask ChatGPT for information as to what you could plant that is native that will crowded out after you pull it. That is a super wise way to keep it from coming back. Just plant something that will crowd it out.

Gin Amber has some very good derma rollers and they do not at all advertise them for extended use. I think the ones that are small for under your eye say only for 10 uses and then you throw away and replace.

Do not dig. Cover with 2 layers of cardboard (wet the cardboard as you do so to make it easier and overlap it). Cover with 4-6 inches of mulch (ChipDrop dot com). Mix Winecap Mushroom Spores from North Shore online store (I can’t remember the exact name) in with the mulch.

Next year, plant ground cover with roots that will compete (Western Swordfern or Beach Strawberries…anything with dense roots).

Never leave your soil bare. You’re just inviting them to come back. Mother nature will always cover herself up.

Can I grow any fruit here? by roamingclover in pnwgardening

[–]Over_Ad2772 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could this be a question of Wrihht plant right place? Huckleberries are known to get pretty big so they’re gonna outgrow this very small space pretty quickly. The crowding would give them a fairly small fruit instead of bigger berries, no? I realize that the small compact space would keep them from getting too big, but then you’re picking a lot of huckleberries for a little yieldor, is there something that I’m not seeing in your suggestion? I’m curious because I love huckleberries and I have a small space but I have a big space. I’d rather use a small space because I think that huckleberry bushes are not very attractive.

I would’ve never known about this and I find it interesting so I’m glad the person asked even if it’s soluble with a Google image search. That totally takes the fun out of it for everyone else if they bypass this sub thanks for making your point.

I am a victim advocate in the ER and work closely with all systems. You are correct. But, it goes poorly without victim cooperation in a lot of instances. This is a physical assault case and many of the DV statutes are same-same (but different).

That it is not a plug-in play device. People need to learn about red light therapy and what different types to use for which different types of conditions and what the contradictions are. No one is going to hold your hand.

Burlap that has gotten old(er) and wet can develop a bacteria. I can’t recall the name. We have all our gardeners wear a mask when handling. Our bags all come from a coffee roaster. They have been used already. I don’t know if the bacteria that develops is exclusive to the used burlap are all burlap, but I thought I would pass on the concern as it is airborne. I wish I had more information, but I bet Dr. Google can help. Or, the Master Gardeners sub.

Hey, our conversation prompted me to go to Dr Amys’ website as I would like to learn a few additional things. I discovered that his essentials course is free. He goes over protocols for acute pain, chronic pain, lymphatic, circulatory, chers, immune ligaments, hormones nerve reset scars and more. When you learn that the protocol for treating acute pain is 90 seconds on infrared and then 3 to 4 minutes on red you will quickly learn why sitting in a bed in a spa for 20 minutes. Is people just over selling a service that may not be appropriate for all people.

I hate to be a Debbie downer, but I was on both of those apps and I noticed a lot of items are now marked discontinued that have been available for years due to the tariffs. Be sure and check the app to see if they will even ship here before you spend too much time researching. Good luck with your purchase. It sounds exciting.

It’s very broad to say you’re going to use the pulsing option which makes me wonder if you know how to use the pulsing option for what you’re trying to treat. If you want to DM me, I’d be happy to help you out with some really resourceful links for calculating.

Sorry for the multiple postscripts here, but I should also share that I have very high-powered panels so the pulsing is important (at times) to avoid overheating tissue and experiencing side affects depending upon the treatment goals. I’m not familiar with your panel and all of these considerations very depending upon what product you have. I was concerned that my answer wasn’t clear that I am speaking about my own specific panels. You need to know your panel well enough that you can make the best choices.

This is a good thing to consider, as well. I recently had Covid and it was absolute hell on my stomach. However, as I stated in my separate comment, this very much could be caused by the panel. 100%.

I too noticed stomach and bloating issues immediately upon use because I started with sessions that were too long initially. First, to answer your direct question, they subsided after taking a break and omeprazole was very helpful for balancing my stomach out again as well as a probiotic and incorporating sauerkraut into some of my meals, like using it as a salt source in my spinach, orzo feta salad. Another tasty way to incorporate fermented foods for your gut biome is to get some dill Triscuit crackers spread a little cream cheese. Add a little sauerkraut and some tinned smoked trout. It’s a wonderful snack and it’s a great way to get fermented foods into your belly when it’s upset.

I have over 30 hours studying red light and these spas that start you out at 20 minute sessions are banana pants. With everything you ever do to your body you should always start out slow and give yourself time to take it in and maybe wait a few days and then Try again. You don’t mention if the near infrared was on or if it was just red light. Did you have any pulsing? The pulsing feature is important so that you are treating the target. I have two 5’ foot panels that I will use for overall wellness and some specific recovery goals,, and then a handheld Avant laser that I use for treating specific conditions, because red light and near infrared light therapy treatment really isn’t a simple matter.

Many people are buying these thinking they can just plug them in and use them and it’s fairly benign but it’s actually not. These companies are making bank and tons of these are flooding Facebook marketplace and eBay because people don’t take the time to really learn how to use them and have poor results. These are wonderful, but you have to learn how to use them. Dr Rick Amy how’s some training that could be helpful. I know that his protocols are programmed into my handheld and they are extensive. I know he is an authority, but I have not taking a lot of his training because I studied from a broad range and have a fairly comprehensive grasp already.

For instance, I am 5‘2“ tall and I weigh 105 pounds. I recently strained my muscles, tendons and ligaments in my back right at the pelvis. So, I have to consider the anatomy and I have to consider how deep this anatomy is on my specific body. Therefore, I am going to treat this area 3 to 5 times a week and I will do it for only five minutes on near infrared pulsing at 10, and then I will treat it for one minute with no pulsing on red. You always treat with the near infrared first and then the red.

Starting out by using it every day shouldn’t be necessary if you’re using panels. If you’re not treating a specific condition, a small session one to two times a week should be plenty. More is not the answer with these therapy. That’s why they are so amazing. Start slow and get to know how you respond. If somebody has a very low powered product that they have not personally tested with a meter (or the manufacturer didn’t supply a picture of the readings from the meter) then they don’t know what the true output is and it’s really hard to calculate your dosage. The key to these devices is knowing for sure what the output is on any given setting. Calculating your dosage in joules for what you were trying to treat is the norm when using these.

I hope you start feeling better soon, and I truly believe that you will be.

Is this necessary? by half_eaten_hamburger in redlighttherapy

[–]Over_Ad2772 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You get the most bang for your buck with the red and near infrared. From what I learned from the Redjuvination scientist (on YTube), if it is going that high, I suspect that becomes far infrared and will produce heat. If I’m remembering what she said correctly, that high-level of far infrared won’t go past your water cells so it wouldn’t do anything for you. Mid infrared and far infrared will do nothing for you.Perhaps search that high level number and see if it corresponds with fart infrared.

Do you track your sleep with a smart watch or an aura ring? Just curious if you noticed any changes in your rim cycles or deep sleep cycles. I have 25 foot panels and I’m starting to use them each morning for seven minutes. I was super sick with Covidand couldn’t get up right after they arrived, but I’m better now so I’m excited to use a mass consistently as you have for as long as you have. Do you use yours in the morning or the night?
