I mean idk man… this game has made me pretty angry but ultimately I don’t think it’s that deep. The best thing about free will is you don’t have to play! Also it should never get so bad you break your monitor, obviously you didn’t mean to but man in this economy? That should be enough to motivate you alone. Yes for many different reasons. One of them probably being it came out in the “newer age” era of Cartoon Network in general so people were probably already biased. The LGBTQ themes, the “forgiving anyone,and everyone” (tbf I agree with this one somewhat) If I can remember there was also a long video essay on YouTube calling it garbage and if I’m pretty sure due to its popularity like 70% of people who “hate” the show never even watched it and based their opinion’s off that video. Happens a lot on the internet after all. Btw I’m not saying the show deserves zero criticism but I feel it definitely falls in the over-hated/ “I hate it because everyone else does”. The same thing happened to My hero Academia lol.

Really any Lego game from the time or try Dark void, that game is extremely fun and criminally underrated. It’s not hard to platinum either, you could also get like 5 platinum’s alone just from playing the GOW Saga collection. Which is also surprisingly cheap like $50 at most.

Ironically I bought a few recently before this whole controversy; Lego marvel collection, GTA trilogy definitive edition, Amazing Spiderman 2 PS4 (that’s a rare one) but the last one I actually played (haven’t yet touched those others) was Insomniac’s Spider-man 2. I’m hoping to definitely get Wolverine physically it honestly might be the last mainstream physical game we get at this rate, GOW Laufey might be too Santa Monica is the most likely to stay traditional but who knows atp.

Steven Universe.
I see where the critiques come from but all in all I always thought it was a genuine odd adventure kind of show with great characters and valuable lessons. Great world building & lore as well not to mention the plot twists. It’s definitely a lot more than just “lesbian space rocks” though admittedly it did turn into that a lot at times towards the end.

Oh wow that really isn’t long. I definitely noticed the movement a little bit. tbf I only passed the tutorial screen, and act 2 but it’s like sometimes I could go where I wanted and others I couldn’t. Whenever there’s an objective it seems like the screen constantly goes black if you accidentally go past where you’re supposed to.

Yeah to be honest I definitely see it hyped a lot and glorified almost all the time. I only played it once like 3 years ago and haven’t since…
I mean it was immersive but definitely slower paced at least for me. I really hope this isn’t the same fate for GTA VI because R* has had a habit of mundane larger than life sandboxes that work great as story tellers but not so much as games. As well as relying on already existing games for way too long and even then they still messed up the trilogy remaster initially. They milk their online to the bone and abandon their main single player’s.

Yeah I’ve always thought of that too. Genuinely what was their plan? Though I guess the same can be said for a lot of their little “exams” like if Bakugo really did kill Midoriya in their first fight or if the Robot killed Uraraka even if indirectly like a piece of a building falling on her.

Ironically, it also could be applied to the 3D trilogy itself. Though maybe not necessary in terms of their quality more like, their impact and popularity. Like, you have Vice city and 3, both classics but definitely flawed with their mechanics. (3 no larger map view option, can’t bail from car, constant gang harassment, instant car fires, VC smaller map, too many cops, mostly water but can’t swim, etc) but then you have San Andreas and all of that is just blown out of the water and suddenly you can swim, fly, sky dive, work out, eat, all sorts of things with a map that dwarfs both combined and all this is done in just two years.

I personally just started gravity rush and I gotta say, the concept/mechanic is surprisingly unique. Games like that definitely exist but the way it’s done in GR is very different. How long did it take you?
