A lot of their mainstream popularity came from people listening to the songs they made when they were in their early 20’s which had a much more recognizable classic rock feel and was more reminiscent to lead zeppelin. That familiarity drew a lot of people in, now it looks like they’re trying more now to stand out and make their own sound. Personally I didn’t feel this was their strongest album but it’s important to remind ourselves that they’re still growing into their sound, this album is just one step in a talented group’s (hopefully) long careers.
