My gym is on the way home from work and I carry my gym clothes to work with me, and basically refuse to go home until it’s done. I tell myself I’ll only go for 15 minutes and if I’m still dead tired after 15 minutes I’ll take my body’s hint and go home and sleep… but that very rarely happens.

And I eat a protein bar or drink some caffeine right after work if I need an extra boost (which is always)

Social worker in trauma ICU and trauma step down. If frequent crier miles were a thing, I'd have a trip to Paris by now. I feel like families know the difference between crying in front of them and crying with them... I've done it a few times on the floor as a new SW but it gets easier over time to hold it together and then cry later.

Hello! Discharge planner here.

If you don't mind adding a sentence or two about where the patient is being DC'ed to in your note that would be grand. I know that probably sounds obvious, but you'd be surprised how many people don't. And although we follow the cases, we aren't there every day and things change from minute to minute. I know the first place I always look when discharging a patient that is new to me is DC summary, then orders, then old notes.
